Thumbs down rx7_newbie = trouble

Last month Bassem Nakhla (rx7-newbie) contacted me about a roll bar that I was selling. I had stated that I really did not want to ship it but since nobody locally purchased it I agreed to ship it to him at his expense. He said that he really needed it right away so while I was doing my part to get it ready I asked him to get his paypal account set up in the mean time. After a few days he sent me a PM saying "what's taking so long?" I told him that I had not recieved any money from him to which he told me that he did not trust me since I have not sold much through the forums. He asked me at that point to send it COD. I agreed and laid out the $150 for shipping and sent it to the address he provided. The following week I got a call from UPS saying that the bar was back at there store due to the fact that Bassem never was there to recieve it and that after 3 attempts UPS is required to send it back. After multiple attempts of trying to contact Bassem I finally recieved word from him saying that it was not his fault that he was not there to recieve it and that UPS should pay to have it sent again. I spent a good amount of time on the phone with UPS and they brought up the records and stated to me that they did everything by the book. I have been trying to get ahold of Bassem now for the past 2 weeks with no luck via PM, Phone calls, and Text messages. I even gave him the option of splitting the cost of the first shipping attempt to which he never responded. I do not feel that it is my responsiblity to take the hit for the shipping when I did all that I was supposed to do and beyond. I looked him up in this section of the forums and found that I am not the only who has had trouble with him.

There have been quite a few threads about this guy recently. Seems like you basically bent over backwards for him.

On a side note, could you PM the details on that roll cage to me? I'm semi-local and may be interested.
