i would highly recomend not buying parts from him.
HE KNOWINGLY SENT BE BROKEN PARTS!!!! AND I HAVE PICS TO PROVE IT!! He is claiming its a "shipping issue" and said the packages are insured..
here is what happened..
i bought the headlight kit he had in the classifieds.. he shipped them in 2 boxes.
i opened up the one package.. and the drivers side cover was fine.. then the passengers headlight cover was missing 2 tabs.. so i went and got my camera.
took some pics.. then opened up the other box. well i found the broken tabs.. attached to the headlight bracket.. clearly obvious to anybody that he knew about this before he sent them to me. which really pissed me off.

but.. being the nice guy i am.. i asked him what the fu*k.. send me a refund of enough cash so i can buy new or used cover.. and he said.. i am not paying you....
and he stated.. they were repaired.. it has shipping insurance.... blah blah blah...
bullshit.. bullshit.. bullshit..
which is funny because he said nothing about the "repaired" cover in the thread.. if he did.. i would not have bought them.. hell i really only needed the covers..
the first pic is even before i removed it from the box!
in the 3rd pic you can see the broken tabs still attached to the bracket.. also while still in the box!
i am filing a claim with paypal. (unless he now decides to replace the cover)

This guy is not professional.. this guys customer service skills suck dick.
i have bought parts from many people on here.. seats, ppf frame, front clip, (long time ago) driveshaft, radiator, short throw shifter, wiring harness, door pannels, sunroof, big brake kit, kusco diff, suspension bushings, alternator, hks turbo kit, the list goes on and on..
and this is the first problem i have had.

well, according to what he posted, the covers were in one box, and the broken tabs were attached to the headlight bracket....in the OTHER box....

that tells me that this was not broken in transit. The part had to be broken before you put it in the box. Unless, youre going to now suggest that UPS opened your boxes, broke off the cover, and put it in the second box??

Not trying to say you didnt offer him a refund, just making an observation.

EDIT--I am 100% certain, with no doubt, that this was broken before you put it in boxes and shipped it. Look back at your FS thread....the very first picture you posted clearly shows the tabs broken off the inside of the cover. That said, I am not really sure what you're trying to do here.

a word of advice next time, just buy new covers. the FD headlight covers are crap and crack quite often. yes i know it is a little off topic but just something i always tell people who need replacements because if you buy another used one the same **** is gonna happen and to keep replacing/painting them isn't cheap.

yeah maybe its just me but it looks like u bought atleast one broken and if the other is broken and the tabs were tapped inside another box then he is at fault otherwise it looks like u bought a broken cover...

now I dont know how much u are askin back for compensation but honestly if u are asking for like 20.00 back and u paid 200.00 + then I would just tell the seller give the guy 20.00 make him happy and continue with life... you cant win them all but in the end how u treat the customer is the most important thing!!!
