I'd have Landers rebuild my motor, but only if he promised to lose the britney posters.

I get them in my shop as well. A shop owner can only pray that if and when this type of customer comes along, you pick up on it quickly before any work has been performed and tell them to go pound sand. |
To chime in with quite a bit of turbo manifold experience on both TIIs and FDs. The turbos and manifolds crack, they work for a LONG TIME like that w/o any issues.
Cracks might look scary to someone not used to looking at them but they are really not much of an issue at all. |
Oh Noes! After I got my TII swap back from kevin I found out my S5 turbo manifold was cracked and I also had a IC bolt stuck in the UIM. Did I care?
NO. Maybe I should create a BS thread about it so I can get Kevin more business.... |

Take that with a grain of salt. |
Kirk went into every situation with the prior intent of violating as many protocols as possible and trying to pull a piece of ass. Picard was better educated and more interested in actually doing his job.
Take that however you want. :) |
I.... NEED.... To find.... A flywheel...... Nut.. Socket!

You build engines..why did you buy one from Landers, then? I'm sure you could've sourced the drive trains parts out for under $2600, and could've built the engine yourself, KNOWING it was correct! Man, you fail at life..:) |
lol...this thread derailed...but yea...
picard > kirk Gotta love next gen reruns on spike everyday |

...and your avatar for first lady

So, I just read this whole thread and have come to one conclusion:
Kevin, why the fuck do you still bother building engines for people? I mean, I know first hand that there is almost no money to be made in RX-7 motors these days, but honestly, after shit like this, I would just hang up the micrometer and take a vacation! And really, Mar3 might just cruise this forum and be a prick all day, but at least he admits it :D |
I find time for the relaxing postings inbetween washing my car, tires and engine blocks with my home power washer, a necessary tool for any true gearhead...:rlaugh:
Hold up, not finished...:cool:...there we go...:p: :cool::cool::cool: |
I remember several years ago Kevin removed, rebuilt, and replaced and engine in a newly painted GSL-SE I had. I noticed a few greasy finger prints when I got home, wiped right off. I emailed him, told him I didn't care in the least, but I was afraid some asswipe would raise holy hell if this happened to their car.
You see, I didn't KNOW Kevin at the time, he was so nice and "passive", I thought my advise might protect him from future verbal harm. Glad to know he's finally learned to stand up for himself. :p: |
I remember a thread awhile back where someone was bitching about Kevin leaving a fingerprint on their car. Good stuff lol.

I bet everything is in pretty damned mint condition now that he is selling them.
