Disappointing transaction with RxTruismo

I bought a Pettit DP from this guy after I came across this thread - https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...-edfc-1049237/ . He told me the pipe had be ceramic coated and provided me this link RLD - Cermakrome and claimed he paid extra for the matte coating. I thought I was getting a brand new, never run DP that didnt need be be ceramic coated but when it arrived I quickly realized it was not as advertised. The flaking on the exterior of the pipe immediately alerted me. The most obvious is on the manifold end. Large sections of the interior of the pipe had chipped away. I promptly sent him a PM asking for an email to send photos to. He responded and provided me a valid email but that was the end of helpful correspondence. I am now have to spend the money to get this properly coated. He has signed onto this forum without offering any resolution to this problem. Hopefully my negative experience is an isolated occurrence but I would not recommend buying anything from this dude.

I have received a response from RxTruismo. I will update when this matter has come to a resolution.

rx7roller02 - I was told that it had already been coated

There has been no further progress on resolution in this matter. He continues to ignore my correspondence.

The most I have heard from him was that he was looking into it. On 12/22 he told me that he was going to the shop which preformed the work. I have followed up with him twice since then with no response. He routinely logs onto this forum.

Whatta a PIA

Well I have thrown in the towel and am getting this taken care of on my own accord. I am sending it to Swain Tech for coating. I got an estimate for $120 for the coating and $50 for the removal of the current **** on it.

This tool has stopped responding. He never offered me any kind of solution ($$$ back, getting it properly coated, return for a refund, etc). He gave me a BS story about the shop he had it done wanting more pictures so I took the time to take photos with a quality camera, upload, and send them. No further useful communication from him after that.

I am letting this go now. I hope someone can avoid the headache of dealing with him.
