Bad transaction with driftfcbuckey
Going to try and keep this short sweet and as unbias as possible. First one of these I've done and was hoping I wouldn't have to. Hoping if things are public I will receive my refund, and Buckey can show his customer service.
Buckey told me via facebook that he had a contact with VegasAero (supposedly down the street from gloss-factory) on 6/28. I messaged him asking for pricing for the BN replica front bumper and skirts. Quoted for $385 for just the parts using his discount. He was going to paint them for me at cost so I could run them quick to make an event and a potential sponsorship photoshoot. Anyways, it was agreed that when the aero came in I would pay him for paint and shipping. Overall, I would have had everything done for about 1/2 the cost, and would help promote Buckey's shop (win for everyone). Aero was ordered but VegasAero didn't have the kit in stock and was quoted 2 week lead time.
Fast forward to July 28. After intermittently getting a hold of Buckey (he is hard to get any messages from at times) he finally told me on a Sunday that the aero was at VegasAero and that he would be picking it up the following day.
Two weeks go by without hearing anything from him (maybe got one message on fb?). I sent him an ultimatum message of deliver parts before I take things to forums. Immediately received a text that stated he was in jail. Seemed too convenient to me so I asked on facebook if anyone could confirm for me. Things definitely got a bit out of hand and people took and ran with it. Jokes were made and there was a lot of third party bashing. Friends of mine took it into their own hands to try and "help" the situation but it turned into a mudslinging campaign akin to a Presidential candidacy. Buckey I'm sure can post the screen shots of anything etc in his own defense.
He responded after the fact asking me to stop slandering his name/company etc. And stated he would have to find the location of VegasAero since the moved or something. There was some back and forth (I have screen shots), things were cleared up, and in the end I asked for my money back. He said the money he expected would be in his account Monday or Tuesday and then immediately headed to me. (Aug 19/20)
Ask on Monday, still hasn't cleared. Ask on Tuesday, says he's at work and will get back to me. Never does. Keep asking every day. Told him on Friday (Aug 23) that the money must be refunded to me by Sunday (Aug 25) before I pursue legal action. Sunday comes around and still nothing. Receive a message saying the money cleared but PayPal took some for other issues, and that he only had 100 left. Offered parts. At the time I rejected it because he has an fc and I have an fd. Not much he could offer me that would do me much good. Told him I would rather have the money.
After that, we've been trying to work things out. I told him I would take wheels or something as a long shot but I was kind of an *** about it. I haven't heard from him in a little over a week. I'm wanting to keep this as civil as possible. Ive chatted with him before I bought parts from him and he seemed like a good guy at the time. Told him what parts to pick up for his REW and give him a hand etc. I know it could be worse at 2.5months time for aero and "only" out $385 but regardless its been rough. He has "tried" to help, but there's only so much he can do if he doesn't have the cash. Screen shots can be posted if necessary.

Ive been in comstant contact with robby. He told me to post in here to come to a conclusion, im unaware how my postin in this thread will "resolve our issue" i would imagine that once i get cash back in my account and reimburse him THAT would resolve our issue.
Came up on tough times. Planning to reimburse. Transaction fell through, and not planning to screw him whatsoever. As soon as something sells he's getting paid back. He's been posting on facebook, instagram, and now rx7club. The more people that think "im a crook/theif" the more people who dont want to purchase things from me or my shop in turn hurting the speed in which he gets paid off.... Ive had plenty of transactions in the past and this one was one of the bads.

Robby PM'd you about payments. Can probably drop $100 this weekend to you, maybe all of it. A few potential buyers are looking at the vert i told you about. I had to block you on FB the jokes and slander were getting to be too much for me to deal with from your buddies and whatnot....
Im only considering even selling that car just to pay you. If it does sell i will pay you $400 for the hassle. I know its only $15 more but its all i can do..

You were busted on 8/12....looks like a 48 hour hold, with appearance on 8/14. You say you have no money to pay him back, but two weeks later youre talking about drift events, 4 hour sessions....which don't come free.
Look, I'm not here to rag on you over getting busted. I hope all of that works out for you. And I will shut down anyone who shows up in this thread and tries to hassle you over it. But I will say this--saying you dont have any money to pay him back sounds a bit funny when youre attending drift events and so on. Appreciate that you said you are willing to work this out...let me know if there's anything you need that we can help with to that end.

I dont need to explain matters that are in the past to anyone other than robby. Ive explained to him why i was able to drive that event, and who paid for it.

I've done nothing to insult you or ridicule you in any way. I dont appreciate you taking this kind of attitude with me. And in case you didnt know, as one of the moderators here, this IS my business. I'm sorry that youre having the issues youre having lately. But dont think that you can give me hell because of them. It is in the interest of other members in this forum, since you do buy and sell to more than just this one guy, to see how this turns out. And it is my job to be involved in these kinds of issues. I think that's something you need to simply get comfortable with because thats what I do here.

As stated in the original post Buckey, I stated we are working things out. You can say I'm slandering your name and shop all you want, but in the end I paid for parts I never received and then asked for re-reimbursement for them when you failed to deliver. I have neither the parts nor money. That's bad business.
I stated a long time ago I would take this to forums if necessary. And I deemed it necessary. If I keep sitting around it could be months before you decide you have the money to pay me back.
As much as I'd like to take you up on "partial" payments, I would rather it all be done with. No interest, no payments, just the 385 even that you owe me.

Buckey Laing has contacted me to make thing right he currently is having finacial and personal issues and wants to fix all his transactions. Please keep in mind I am not a detective so 1 person at a time. Cloudx you are next he said.
Last night we set on a deal and agreed with fixing Robby Boucher aka KIKU transaction. In efforts to make things right he offered Kiku a brand new in box FFE trigger kit $299 to kiku to make up for the $285 he owes him. Today he sent me pics of the FFE trigger kit in a box and tracking numbers. Ship directly to Robby. Once Robby confirms he has recieved Items this transaction is cleared.

I cant see what cloudx said but as far as im concerned he and i have nothing to handle. I painted his car to squash an $800 debt of which i spent over $1500 in paint supplies and didnt charge labor. I did not want to spray and repair a broken gp sports front bumper. He can purchase a new one bring it to me and ill purchase the supplies to do it for him. Other than that this isnt get everything free from buckey thread.
Sorry alex. But that kid and i have had a deal thats been sorted out in my eyes. Jorge when you buy a non cracked gp sports bumper ill paint it for you. Im not spending 20+hrs slaving away to repair a bumper that youre getting done for free.
James i still have to take care of just havent had funds to ship things given my situation. But i will pull the parts from my race car to make it right and when you get the parts from me send back cores please so i can keep it mobile for my friends thats storing the car.
It would have been sooner but i unexpectedly had to relocate my shop to storage and take cars to a friends. I had to keep the car together for the transport dude. But message me for my number and resend me your addy and i will try to get it out this week or next at the latest. Im sorry for all these hassles with everyone. It wasnt intentional.
I need to check this more often i suppose.
