Bad feedback for GarageMoose

Don't buy from this guy as he has not turned out to be a reputable seller. I purchased an HKS VMount Kit with Koyo radiator in January. Intercooler and the rest of the parts were packed and shipped without adequate protection. As a result, the intercooler has been severely damaged. See the attached pictures for details. I am still trying to get my money refunded. Paid an extra $200 on top of the price of the kit and this is how it was packed. I gave ample time for a proper resolution to be met outside of a Paypal dispute/claim. I initially proposed that I would ship back the kit to him after he issued a refund. This was not something he wanted to do and explained that the money paid to him for the kit was no longer available. Another route we explored was for him to pay for a new intercooler. This was not a suitable situation in that HKS does not want to sell kit parts separately. Last recourse was for him to pay for a new intercooler core from a reputable vendor (Garrett, Spearco) and cover the cost of cutting off the HKS endtanks and welding them on to a new core. However, after waiting nearly three weeks for an amicable end to this deal, I have escalated my PayPal dispute to a claim. I am also posting here so that others may be aware of my situation and hopefully avoid such a negative experience.

wow, the packaging on of the intercooler is unreal! Sorry to see such a nice kit ruined over something so trivial.

PayPal has conducted their investigation and has concluded the case on my behalf. Damaged items were shipped back to the seller. It's been nearly a two month ordeal. I would have rather found an amicable solution outside of a PayPal claim as it would have been easier on both parties.

Glad this ended in your favor.

I will never understand people. What did he "save" by going the cheap route on packaging? $15, $20? Bubble wrap is cheap, boxes are cheap, tape is cheap... you know what's NOT cheap? An HKS Intercooler.

I'll just toss this thought out there seeing that now the issue is resolved.

Shipping is usually already "paid for" by the guy that bought the part,..so if the Seller chooses to "be stingy on the packaging" he is just setting himself up for a problem.
So why go cheap on the wrapping?.

(I just sent a PS rack from Canada to the USA...strapped to a 1x4 !,wrapped in insulation and wrapped again.Made the journey without a hitch).

Anyways,glad this is resolved.

I paid $200 for it to be shipped to me. When returning it, I paid $140 and did a bit more to prevent damage. Something to think about....
