Here to add on to the poor experience with angel. ordered REW swap mounts in june of last year. here i am, with nothing to show for it almost a year later now.

Ghosted me for months after the initial payment for the mounts, then when i posted on 7AG on FB, they contacted me about them. I said I might want a refund, two days later they sent a picture of them supposedly being worked on, and that if i wanted a refund now they would charge a restocking fee. yeah, right.

so i said **** it, send them. they claim they attempted delivery, showed a photo with my address on the label and a legit sticker from USPS to return to sender. so I paid the 40 bucks for them to try and send it again, so far, they've ghosted me yet again, i would never recommend them to anyone i know.

He still owes me 1300 for parts i paid for 3 years ago. Ive been patient all these years. Ive hit rock bottom, dealt with real life struggles, and problems and never asked for it once until, I found out John shut down in the west coast. I messaged his bro shop in VA weekly and monthly and he hasn't got one message across to john in 6 MONTHS about my refund.I blame it all on the fame from that lame *** who pissed on his fc and reverted back to a rotary thinking hes respected. Who again? It doesnt even matter what his name is..

Ive been supporting him a year before he opened up shop in CA through IG. I was one of his first customers. He swapped my t2 and it never ran right. He said to get a haltech and my car runs even worse then before. If youre defending him go watch his videos.

Never ever take your FD to a shop that you have not THOROUGHLY VETTED.
Here's pic of our latest Mazda crate motor install ( in process ) for a friend.....$5500 motor delivered from Ray Crowe + about $800 for new parts for proper install..... studs/nuts/gaskets/O-rings/water pump/etc.
Extras included engine bay repaint and peripheral restoration to look new

I'm sorry dude, that absolutely sucks.

I would recommend leaving a review on rx7central alongside mine.

John Vargas has literally never made a single complete payment of the payment plan he requested from the court. I had given him until last month to make it whole and then filed a motion to declare default on his judgement. Court approved.

I wanted to once again, go out of my way to show how flexibile I can be with a difficult person, I have a litany of emails clarifying what he needs to do since Nov last year and has literally never met his end of the bargain.

Once again, avoid this business at all costs. Absolutely refuse to accept responsibility for anything. I'm not even stressing over the money, I just wanted to clarifying that you can be the nicest most flexible person on the planet, give someone +9 months of chances to make it right after he blew the last 2 chances to make it right for years. And these guys will still take you for a ride lol.

And to the people who read this thread thinking it's a one time thing, I'm not the only guy who's been burned by them and that's well documented all over this forum. And the fact they're still dropping the ball almost deliberately after all this time should show you they really don't deserve any benefit of the doubt.

The game is to wear you out on legal fees and time until you finally say **** it and give up.

Might as well add my experience, too.

Spring 2020, I ordered a coolant expansion tank from his website. Days later (on his IG story of all places) he announced a temporary close of shop while he was in VA.

Unsurprisingly, I never received my order. The only time i heard from him was a comment reply on IG, telling me he was working on the batch. I filed a chargeback thru paypal just before my 6 month deadline.

It's a bad strategy because there's no legal fees since it's small claims. And the longer this drags out the more I collect from interest. Not to mention I'm simply more stubborn than he's willing to put up with the civil consequences.

I'm his huckleberry

He paid most of it lmao. Decided to stop paying after owing a remaining ~$2000
Which is fine by me. The longer he doesn't pay, the more interest I collect and I'll come at him for every cent down the road for sure.

Not to mention he's got a warrant in CA as a result.

If Angel Motorsports is cool with never actually resolving this for years that's just reflective of what we all already knew.
At the end of the day, I'm definitely getting my money lol. And my timeline horizon is very comfortable with the reminder being served ice cold lol.

yea they literally only focus on their own projects or big youtube projects that will gain them a bunch of eyes/clout, such as AdamLZ's 4 rotor build.

Nothing much, enjoying hearing that their reputation has only fallen further since. And that they're both getting even fatter lol.
That and the interest on my judgement keeps growing so I'm in no rush to collect. If they wanna pay the remainder. They have my number to settle it. But if they wanna ignore it, it'll just get more expensive when it's time to pay the piper.

Assuming they don't run off to the PR lol.

Oooff, it's like looking in a mirror. That's ******* rough for those owners. Hopefully they pursue legal action.

I know one guy down in Florida I believe who is suing them in civil court, so not just small claims. And he's going after Mike. And this dude seems to have a good income on top. So I expect we'll see more.

Don't delay the undeniable. Just get started on getting your **** back. Longer you wait. The more damage that happens. Like rats eating your **** and fuel lines corroding. Ask me how I know.

I second this. Don’t even want to get started on the bs I dealt with with Mike for 2+ years, spending 30k+ on invoice with him, 20+k sourcing of my own parts to get handed back an insane amount of half-assed work, almost every bolt he touched loose, and never got fully tuned. Couple years later, spent thousands to fix the issues. Still fixing little stuff to this day. Thankfully I’m financially able to move on.

But huge beware. Def tell your story. I didn’t have the time and energy. Still don’t. I’ll tell the entire story one of these days.
