We've been taken for a ride by FDNewbie!

FDNewbie GB: Rear seats group buy PLEASE!!

Gentlemen:

We've been taken for a ride!

It's been over five months since we paid FDNewbie, he does not respond to posts, he does not respond to PMs, he does not respond to email!!!!!

Ramy Nasr of FDNewbie has no intension of filling our orders, he took our money and ran to Florida, and none of us will ever see our $500.00 or the RX-7 rear seats. Collectively that's $3,000.00 of our money.

FDNewbie has taken us for a long and expensive $500.00 ride, I say enough is enough.

We keep on getting ignored!!!

This is a classic GB gone BAD!

As of yesterday my new goal in life is to put Ramy Nasr behind bars for Internet Fraud!

He will not get away with it, I promise you that much!

This should get his attention

I think Ramy will either refund you or provide the seats once he's aware of the current situation.

This is not the only GB that's complaining. Please read the threads.

Sure Ramy takes a long *** time sometimes but he has never ripped anyone off. You will get a refund or your parts, one of the two. Goodluck with the situation.

Thanks, but this has been going on for many months with NO response to PMs, emails, and posts. That's just not good business! Don't you agree?
He's other GBs are complaining as well...

It does appear that he's contacted you as late as 9-14-08.
Not sure, but for some reason I'm thinking he was in Med School. That might not excuse it, but if he's in residency it might explain some things.
I hope he doesn't mind me saying this, but FWIW he once offered to ship me some parts and let me make installments. I didn't take him up on it. But that doesn't sound like a guy that's out to defraud either.
The delay would be frustrating...and scary. But I think you'll get it worked out.

You are talking about a well respected seller on these forums, who you perpetually threaten and slander. Threats and slander will have no positive impact on your situation, I suggest you invest your time in seeking a resolution by other, more appropriate means.

Ps. Do not take this personally but after reading a few of your posts regarding the matter I have come to the conclusion that you have little to no understanding of the legal system, or are exadurating for effect.

Sorry Mate, it sounds like you may not understand the U.S. legal system. As soon as I paid him we entered into a legal contract, he did not satisfy his obligation of the contract by shipping the goods to me in a timely manner, nor is he responding to emails.

How long would you wait for an answer? 5 months, a year? before you take action?

Please do not prejudge based on what you see and read on this bulletin board since it is not all conclusive. Emails have not been posted, nor PMs, etc.

Thanks!

Ramy may be good for it but just because hes done good busniness in the past and has a good following doenst mean he can excuse himself of reponsibilites of being a good business man and fulfilling his obligations in a timely manner. Just my 2 cents... Most people are willing to wait as long as there is open communication...

Sounds like you're the one who doesn't understand the U.S. legal system, considering you used the term 'slander' to describe an obviously written statement. If you're going to be a smart *** (like I am), at least do it right; the correct term for written defamation is 'libel'.

ramy is an honest person and these seats are hard to come by. since being in the tx7 community, you have to pay to play and to be prepared to wait for anything that requires a treasure hunt.

Clarification: Ramy claims that he already has the seats, not a treasure hunt. However, no plan to ship for months now. Will not respond to emails...What else can I do?

I agree, unfortunately communication is lacking.

He ignores refund requests. One of the GB buyers' requested a refund months ago because he sold his FD, FDNewbie has ignored his request.
That's what I mean. Check the thread...

For special order parts dont expect a refund for a reason like that.. what does ramy care if your pal sold his car?

Besides that.. i m sorry about ur situation. threatening though (especially behind the screen) will get you nowhere.

If you wanna act as a professional there are so many other things you can do that can actually get you somewhere

Hope everything is solved with a happy ending

He is in residency and BlueRex is no longer on board with him so he's been extra swamped. Look at the thread he posted a few months back. --> https://www.rx7club.com/fdnewbie-imports-172/fdnewbie-imports-running-very-behind-moment-764543/ He's trying hard to get things caught up but is having a tough time, so I highly doubt he's ignoring you on purpose. Give him a break.

I had a few parts that I ordered from ramy. Took a long time. I ended up talking with him about it and he was more than sorry for what happened. He gladly sent me some goodies for NO CHARGE that he knew I was looking for. Been a stand up guy for me and many people. Bent WAY over backwards for me before.

I've talked with him many many times on AIM just about his personal life and mine. Him and I have a common love for flying (that's why we started talking so much). I have no doubt that he is just swamped.

IF he was going to rip people off on a group buy I'm sure he would have gotten away with MUCH more than a measly $3,000...

Ramy is a good guy in my book. I know how things go as I am in the same business as Ramy and understand that finding some of these parts can be very time consuming. Japan is not filled with rear seat kits available with a single call.

5 months is a significant amount of time and I am sure there is someone who would more than happily take your spot in the group buy if you put it out there, especially since 5 months of the wait have already passed hehehe.

I hope you can see that everyone here is trying to tell you that the parts do take awhile but 99% of the time they are well worth the wait.

I hope you hear from him soon and can work something out.

Ramy will not rip anyone off, period. He's as honest as they come.....hell, he let me pick up some almost-new Spirit R Recaro carbon/kevlar seats and drive away after writing him a pretty damn large personal check (well in excess of the $3k mentioned in this thread).

Ramy's a good guy, stop talking **** about him, if you knew how hard
it was for us importers to come acrossed parts, you'd bite your tongue
at the hoops we have to jump through sometimes. I mean god, every
time Tom up there brings visors he has to bring them on the plane in
his personals so they don't break. You have no rep here, you're just
some whiny punk kid like the rest of them that doesn't know how to
sit down and wait.

picking up the rear seats isn't as easy as going to the grocery store for ***** sake. Rany's got a business to run and he's providing a great service to the rx-7 community . these are rough times around the world so be patient, you should be kissing his ***.

If you're new "goal in life" is to see a well-respected, trust-worthy individual go to jail I think you'll be working VERY hard and for very long to see it come to fruition. Seriously, your new goal?!? I'm currently being scammed for nearly $400 and I've been waiting for approx. 9 months now. Prior to that, I had nearly $2000 tied up in a deal gone bad. Thankfully, everything got worked out BUT it was definitely not by employing the tactics you seem to use. If over $500 you've made this your new goal in life, you honestly need to find a new damn goal!

P.S. This is nothing personal, I'm simply basing my arguments off what you've stated here. I can understand that you're frustrated and gettin' impatient, but that's still no excuse for the way you've chosen to resolve this situation. I don't think there's even been a time where Ramy didn't come through. I can personally attest to the fact that Ramy has single transactions that are worth more than everyone has involved in this particular Rear Seats Group Buy. If he was out to scam, he'd be walking away with well in excess of your $500 and the total $3000 tied-up in this one GB. Trust me!
