RX7store (Jason) HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I contacted Jason by phone about a month ago to purchase an exhaust manifold for my FD.

I specifically asked him if there was one on the shelf ready to go, I needed a quick turn around. His website states (3-5 Business Days). He told me "Yes" and it wouldn't be a problem.

A week goes by and still NO MANIFOLD, and NO COMMUNICATION. I have to call their phone non-stop just to get someone to pick up. Apparently Jason was out all week on business meetings, and all I'm being told by who I am assuming was his wife, is that "we're waiting on a part"...I told her to have Jason call me so I can get clarification on exactly what part they were waiting on.

I finally get a call from him, and he proceeds to tell me that they ordered the Tial flange from Taiwan and that it was supposed to be in "soon"...I asked him if they had a tracking number for it and never got a clear answer from him, I even told him I have a Tial flange I can provide to speed the process up.

A few more days and a weekend go by and still NO COMMUNICATION. I call the shop again repeatedly so I can talk to someone, and I am told that Jason is at another shop working and that he would call me back. Sure enough I don't get return call, he writes me an email that night (May 6th).

I was eventually informed that he received my parts. He also told me that he sends stuff to the welder on the weekends and that most likely it still wouldn't be done till that following Wed/Thurs since his welder was busy with other things. ALL OF THIS SHOULDVE BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION ON DAY 1

You guessed it, nothing was finished in that time frame either. He told me it would then be done Friday and that he would try and overnight ship it to me.

I finally get an invoice and an email with a tracking number Monday (May 13th) that it will be shipped and be at my door today (May 14th) at 3pm.

You guessed it! The manifold didn't show up at 3pm. I go back and check the tracking number and the 'Arrival Time' is no longer applicable. I'm blowing up the phone at RX7store trying to get a hold of someone to figure out what's going on and of course no one picks up.

I call Fed Ex and they can see that I was supposed to have the package today, but said it was never scanned in, most likely he never sat the package out.

I then get a call back from Jason, and he tells me he did sit it out to be shipped and that he didn't see any boxes that were left behind from Monday, he told me he's not around either when the Fed Ex man shows up to pick this stuff up, which is odd to me to have thousands of dollars worth of product potentially sitting out somewhere unsupervised.

He didn't seem to alarmed by the situation and was unwilling to get it taken care of and said he would call me in the morning.

Fed Ex has 24/7 customer support, so I call them back to clarify on the situation and how things work on their end. In short they said he never sat the package out.

I am absolutely appalled by the lack of customer service and communication, along with the amount of smoke that was blown up my ***. I was VERY patient with him only to be delayed every time.

I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH HIM AGAIN. There is no excuse for this kind of service. Very dishonest and misleading

Footnotes:

-Ordered Manifold under the impression of quick turn around time as stated by both Jason and on his website

-I get the run around for SEVERAL WEEKS because he wants to save a buck and order parts from Taiwan as well as having a 3rd party doing the welding on the manifold.

-I get an invoice and a tracking number and still don't receive a package

-I have to call Fed Ex and sort all of this out myself. Jason says he shipped it, Fed Ex says he didn't. He has my money, and I have no product.

-Order is void/cancelled

If anyone has any questions about this whole ordeal I'd be glad to answer them.

I did say I had a manifold on the shelf which was true. I didnt realize I was out of flanges for the wastegates which I had to order. Not sure who told you I get them from Tiawan but that is not true. I do get them from overseas in bulk. Anyway, It took me some time to get them in and then had to have my fabricator weld them on, which he does on the side and can take some time as he has another day job and gets to my stuff on the weekend. In the end it took longer than I expected and I offered to overnight this on my dime. Customer is unhappy and wants to cancel which is understandable. Sorry for the problems.

The woman I talked to on the phone told me Taiwan is where you ordered the Tial flange from, regardless, you should've communicated with me to bring it to my attention that we'd be waiting for a part to ship across the world, I even asked for a tracking number on that flange as well. Once I did get a hold of you I even told you had I one I could send to you to speed up the process.

The welder had 2 weekends (9 Days) to finish the manifold. It would be wise to inform your customers of this information, being that you have a warranty offered. A customer could be waiting quite some time if they're ordering the manifold and/or sending it back for warranty work.

Yea you offered to overnight it on your dime, but of course, somehow it didn't make it onto the truck even though you turned in a shipping label. Smooth move to try and buy yourself some more time. You should've called them immediately when I called you on the phone to tell you the package didn't arrive, they have 24/7 customer support.

I probably would've had to wait a couple more days while Fed Ex tries to figure out the 'problem' which is clear it was never put on the truck to begin with.

When Jason found out he did not have a flange ready to install and had to order it HE should have called the customer right away to inform him of the delay. The customer wanted this manifold ASAP but the seller never kept the customer informed about the situation.

None of this is the customers fault and even was willing to his ship his own flange.

Seller needs to take better care of his communications to the customers. If i was the buyer i would be just as pissed off for all the delays. That is all.

Obviously that is understood from the original post. But the question still stands after Jason admitted guilt: What exactly is the OP looking for? Because at this point it just sound like complaining for the sake of of complaining.

Like he has any grounds to charge me a restocking fee???

I'm not debating anything, and it's not just a matter of admitting guilt. I need nothing else from him.

My goal is to inform other potential buyers of what I had to deal with.

For someone who has been in business as long as he has, it is VERY frustrating to receive the customer service or lack there of that I had to deal with, as well as having every trick in the book pulled out to delay the process instead of him just being honest.

Again I'm not looking for anything, if I want to complain then I will gladly do so because a month of my time has gone down the drain.

ok noted- as I said I was curious if you wanted something else from the man. Which at this point it is clear as you said, you just want to complain. Which is your right to do so

Have to chime in on my experience with Jason, I ordered a cat delete pipe for my 83 fb a couple years ago. product arrived promptly, was packaged well and fit perfectly. I don't have a negative to pile on with, this was the only transaction I have had with him and I just thought I'd share my experience.

You've been on the forum 10+ years and you're posting this in my thread? You do realize you can go start your own thread in the correct sub-forum about your experience with Jason, thanks for posting something completely irrelevant.

You've been here for over three years and you dont know that this is a very common occurrence in these threads??

Look, how's about you calm yourself down a few notches. Jason said he will make this right. No need to give other people so much grief like this. 84 merely said that he had a good experience with Jason. He didnt insult you or attack you in any way. What he posted is perfectly within the rules here---so lay off.

We should just make this section one big sub-forum then if people don't want to post in the correct area and keep some form of organization. I'll be sure to jump around the forum and exploit any other commonalities next time I get bored

I'm not sure how me making that post would cause anyone grief, sorry to hurt either of your e-feelings.

let me clue you in, chief...

1--you worry about yourself and your posting. You have no business telling anyone else how they should or shouldnt post. Worry about yourself and the issue at hand.

2--Stop telling people what threads they can or cannot post in--it isnt your job.

3--this section has ALWAYS allowed polite comments the way he posted--ALWAYS. The one and only time that such comments are not permitted in a thread is when a moderator requests that everyone else stay out of that thread. There's no need for you to be a smartass with me or complain about "make it one big sub-forum then". I've been here for more than a decade. I know how this section has been and how it runs.

Theres no need for you to bring sarcasm with me--tell the truth:

--he posted politely
--you responded in a butt-hurt fashion

True or not?? Maybe you should check yourself instead of telling other people what is or is not relevant. Your focus in this thread should be getting your refund and reporting when it happens--nothing more and nothing less.

My focus in this thread is also providing information that pertains to my experience as in entirety regardless of whether I receive a refund or not.

Trust me I am in no form butt hurt, the side attention is amusing. Ill check myself though anyway just to make sure, like a true chief should.

If someone can come in and make a post about their experience they had a couple years ago on a different car, as well as a different part...then by all means I will go in every thread and post about my bad experience with RX7store for the next 2 or 3 years.

Thanks for informing me on how things operate on here.

I have lost more respect for TheAsset in this thread then I have RX7Store. There is no reason you have to add the snarky attitude with your responses. Anyway, thanks for the heads up, often I am in a hurry for parts.

If only you were more focused on your business and less focused on trying to tell me how to run this forum, things would go much more smoothly for you.

And trust me--if you insist on continuing this line of sarcastic BS with me, your experience on this forum will come to a rather swift end. Refund or not. mmkay pumpkin??

We're done here--count on that.

Glad I could keep you informed. It's a good time of the year to have the cars on the road and not in the garage...it's torture.
