The Subject says it all, What's your opinion of carlos lopez racinf in south florida?

 

I heard he's good. Im also Down south and typically use my friend for all my rotary needs. He knows carlos racing and he says he does good work. He also deals with Puerto Rico and S. American rotaries which are very fast.
What work are you typically looking for? I also use Rotary World, There pretty dependable and wont rip you off.

 

I have NO 1st hand experience with them, so I have no opinion on CL Racing.

 

great guy to deal with has built engines for some friends of mine, very powerful and well built engines the guy puts a lot of attention to details. a+++

 

His shop lools like a Junkyard, and it will take him 6 months to even touch your car. Then he will blame you when it breaks down.

Back then, it was a REALLY nice meeting. Mostly muscle cars and an occasional modded modern car. Rice hardly had a meaning back then. How times have changed

 

I've delt with him and he is very cocky. He told me to my face that he hates street racers and they are a waste of his time. This was after I gave him 3 grand to do stuff to my car. With that attitude he'll be in that POS shop for the rest of his life. I will admit my car hauled serious *** when it left there and he does great work. He just has ZERO people skills. And it does take months to get in line there, so somebody likes him.

 

here's my experience with him, hope this prevents another racer from falling into his lies

I sent him a 13B rotary engine back in May 2017, along with $7000 for an engine build. 2 years later I still have not received my motor from him. Endless excuses and stores since I sent him the motor. I don't want to post the details of the conversations, but some of his excuses ranges from surreal to comical.

I used to live in miami and i heard that he would put no so good used parts in customers' engines and charge like new ones.
Never had first hand experience with him though.
And those coments/stories have not changed since 2009. Lol....

I have only heard bad things about that shop. Many threads on this forum from people who have had trouble with this shop. I have been screwed so many times that if I hear a few people complain about a shop I avoid that shop. I currently use Kilo Racing and I am a happy rotard. Brap brap brap. Be careful rotard heads. There are many good rotary sales people but few good honest rotary mechanics.

 

I hear full detail automotive in Tampa is pretty good 👀👀👀👀

 

Being that this thread is situated in/around south Florida I am amazed that no one has mentioned Pettit. I live in NC now and if I have the means I will STILL visit Cam for anything serious that needs to be done.

Exactly one year to the day, and again on October 29th 2018. 2 separate blanket emails were sent to you and 12 other customers. explaining the reasons for the delays at CLR as a direct result of a circumstances out side my control witch were of eminent importance. You my friends were named on both. Options were offered to everyone to OPT-OUT and pick up their work if time was of the essence and could not wait until things got back to normal. You my friend chose to remain in status and go along with the situation. Then sometime this year with out any prior knowledge, you began to contact people in the industry talking smack about me. How do I know ? Because people from all over began reaching out, contacting me and informed me about your calls, and tactics. I can only deduce no one took you serious because nothing further developed from that, But then later this year hiding behind your computer like a little "Bitch" you commenced writing derogatory comments about me on social media, even Commercial Bureaus, I contacted you and believed we had reached an understanding, Even offered to provide at no added cost some highly guarded, Intellectual CLR property for your engine, offering good will and acts of good faith, while you laugh in my ear. I will tell you here and now, had we been closer, like face to face distance, not 2,700 miles away, but more like within arms length, You would have never had the audacity to address me with such disrespect.
Now again last week, more costumers reached out and inform me about your latest new venture,
Your list of VICTIMS by CLR ... Been a week now. Not 1st member joined your pathetic victim's list. Wonder why ?
The bottom line Randy is Integrity You see in your comments about "Endless excuses and Stories" witch you state: ranged from "Surreal to Comical" you failed to address what so many including you knew to been the reason for the loos of time and consequent delays, but by your own admission was too convenient to leave out.
