Thumbs down Landspeed Auto Performance

Hey Guys,

Just a heads up on a rather difficult and frustrating attempt at a transaction with Landspeed Auto Performance.
http://www.landspeedautoperformance.com/

They have some clear headlights on their site that I purchased on Monday at 9AM central time.
I am doing an HID retrofit and was looking for clear lenses for my headlights.
They advertized a price of $ 89.03 for the pair. Shipping was only around $ 9.00 or so.

So I entered my order Monday morning and paid via Paypal.
Transaction went through right away and I received a transaction history via email.

Checked the order Monday evening to see if it shipped and it still showed "Confirmed".
Paypal transfer went through, so they had my payment.

Called Tuesday about 5 times in the morning and left messages asking the status of the order.
Finally got a hold of someone Tuesday afternoon and asked if it shipped since it still shows "Confirmed".
Guy on the phone was pretty short with me and said he was super "busy" and that he would call me back in 15 min.
Never got a call back.

Wednesday was the same story. Couldn't reach anybody at the number.

Called about 15 times today. First answer I started asking the status and the phone disconnected. Called back several more times with just a voicemail message.

Finally got another guy on the phone about 1 hour after my original call.
He said his phone got dropped and broke and he just got a new phone and asked if he could call me back in 5 minutes.

I politely said sure. Once again, no call back.

Called about an hour later and got to finally speak with someone.
They asked if I had purchased the RX7 headlights. I said yes, Paypal went through on Monday.
He said there was a pricing error on his site and the headlights are now about $ 100 plus $ 25 to ship them. I told him to cancel the order and refund every dime of my money.

Pretty frustrating to say the least. Should have raised some flags when my order number was 00000014. Fourteenth order from their site? Scary.

I'd shy away from this outfit.

Really? You ordered monday morning and then call them 5 times the very next day? I would feel like you were harassing me. I left an e-mail questioning a part they had for sale. They didn't respond in three days. So I called the fourth and left a message. They called back within a couple hours. Seemed like nice people. I will be ordering a part from them in another week or two. I doubt I will have any problems with them.

Well I was wrong. I have to say these guys are a complete joke. They had a hks v-mount intercooler system on their page for sale and I called to make sure they physically had it in stock before I ordered it. Guy was talking to me on the phone while talking to someone else in person and says he will call back within the hour. Guy never calls back after 4 hours. Finally after about 6 hours the guy says he physically has two of them in stock and says he will call back to give me a shipping quote cause their online shipping calculator isn't correct. No call back. After calling them and talking over the phone multiple times due to their ignorance with part numbers etc etc the guy says I will have an invoice within the hour. I never get an invoice and the guy doesn't answer the calls anymore. So this morning I check the page where the item originally showed instock now shows special order only and the price is 700 dollars more.... Don't waste your time with these people.

*I went to go and give them some feedback on their site but it seems to have a virus*

Luckily my virus scanner got it in time.

Just wanted to add later on that day I texted the number that is listed on their website. It is the owners cell phone number. He had me text him the part number, the link to the part on his website and my e-mail for paypal purposes. So I decided to give the guy a hard time and text him in the morning to tell him I'm still waiting on my invoice. A couple minutes later I get a text back saying that call forwarding is temporarily unavailable. So I text back yeah right. You're a f'n idiot. Get another text back saying the same. This is the text he sent back to me lol. "CAL FORWARDING IS TEMPORARY UNAVAILABLE" These guys are genuine f-ups.
