Issues with Jason at RX7Store

I bought a v-mount intercooler from Jason at RX7Store on Monday, July 27th, and he said it would take a week to modify it for my convertible FC and send it out by the following weekend. It finally shipped August 17th, after numerous calls from me wondering what the hold up was. When it did arrive, it didn't come with intercooler piping when I was told it would come with at least half of the piping, while the other half would be modified. I've been trying to get a hold of Jason since the intercooler arrived, and he has yet to return my calls.

No invoice was sent with the intercooler, no instructions, no credit card receipt, and he won't return my calls. I'm extremely unhappy with his lack of communication.

Jason I would like my intercooler piping and a call please.

Wow,
You initally called me about the damaged vmount intercooler I had and said you wanted it. I specifically told you we needed to fabricate the radiator and piping which you said no problem, take your time as the car its going on wont be done for many months. You then call me 3 days later asking if the kit was shipped. I said no and quoted what you had said about the time frame. You then tell me you need it now because you are getting the car painted. So I said I will get it done and shipped but the piping wont be with it and you said that was fine.
I sent you an email yesterday with your invoice and letting you know the pipe should be done in the next day. Im assuming you have not looked at your email.
I think part of the confusion was you told me you werent going to be done with that car for a year and said take your time. I took that as I didnt need to have it shipped within 3 days.

If you are having trouble reaching me by phone there is email and PM's on this forum. I did get your voicemail yesterday which was asking for the invoice. Instead of calling you back I emailed it to you.

The problem is not that there are two sides to every story but that the story changes every time I am finally able to reach Jason. I did not change my time frames three days into the order but not until the third conversation after it did not ship the first week which he indicated that he would try to but wasn't sure he could but than the second week after no comunication I called and got a diferent story about his fabricator being backed up but would ship that friday which came and went again with out any comunication so when I inquirede on the third week I said I no longer had the extra time I started out with because the body of the car was schedualed for the body shop and I needed to fit these parts up befor I gave it to them and was again told it would ship out but that when he tried to ship the previous week he discovered one pipe was missing so I said to ship what he had. That took him another 5 days of which time I was checking emails and making phone calls and leaving messages to please call all and let me know what was happening with again zero comunication from jason. When the shippment finally came on the 24 of aug. (almost one month from the order date) It was both sides of piping missing, not just the side he said was missing.
The shop I use for building exhaust, ect. can fab. up this type of piping in less than 1 hour and half that time with a jig so I'm really wondering whats the big deal but when I have been able to actually talk to Jason it always a different excuse and I real need production not excusses but the piping aside, of the many phone messages I left I also asked for the amount that was taken from my card so I could keep my checking account current and of course no reply. The shipment was minus any invoice so after five days of my leaving messages with no reply as an act of frustration I left the first message on this forum. The next day I again called and this time Jason picked up and told my he never sends invoices with shipping and that he sent it the day befor which was the same day I posted and four days after I had recieved the shipment and he than started in about some song and dance about why he hadn't been able to make piping and said he was going to ship it last week of which I again have no email or phone call to tell me if this has acually happened. Now here leyes the twist that really makes me wounder who I'm dealing with. I printed out the page for his add on 7-24-09 which was a friday night and first thing monday morning I called and talked to jason about the damage and was assured it was minor which it was and ordered the kit and gave him my card number. If any of you saw his add It read "retail is $1,499 and the sale price is $950" plus shipping of course. Well I went on line after my last talk with Jason and printed out the invoice and the guy charged me $999 plus shipping. He over charged me $50? This is one of those parallel universe purchases that seems to be taking on a live of its own.
Not that I ever ask anyone to kiss my *** but I mentioned to jason on phone call number one that this is the start of a new build, full body kit by the real good guys at shine auto, rew single turbo with meth, custom everything and was looking forward to buying the fuel system, clutch and garret turbo from him but his response when I asked why he thought I should buy anything else thru him on our last call was he didn't "need" the business. I hope that I will not "need " to post again as I actually have a life that does not revolve around the internet but I do appreciate this forum as a way to inform my fellow rotor heads of some of our hobbies downsides and to try to get the few not so professional venders to do the right thing. And not to beat a dead horse but 99% of the people I meet in this community are up front and professional and a pleasure to talk and do business with.

I got a headache halfway thru reading that mess. I'm not going to argue about who said what and the time frame as I posted that in my first reply. You called me a few days ago asking where the invoice was and I said it was emailed to you. Your response was "I dont do emails" . If you dont do emails then why did you give me your email address when you ordered this?
In regards to the pipe, we do not make these kits here and is done by an outside company, so its not as easy as grabbing a pipe and modifying it. These are done on the weekends only and not during the week. I also told you that when you ordered this.
The add was $999 for the kit, not $950 and it didnt include shipping which is why you were charged $1049
I have been selling parts for 11 years and one thing I have learned is there are some people that I would prefer not deal with and you are one of them. This thread is one example why.
