FM Tuning In spokane WA build gone wrong again haha!!!!
well i am rebuilding a customer car here in seattle wa i have been doing some builds for years now and i keep getting people coming from this guy JESSE who has a shop out of his garage called FM Tuning. i have yet to see a running motor come out of this shop. well i keep getting distressed customers that feel like they have been ripped off and they have been. i just got done tearing down a motor today built by them and this is what i found. DO NOT GO TO THEM!!!!!
* the rotor bearings were not pressed in far enough
*the apex seals were used and had a horrible edge on them like a razor it was put in backwards so just the very tip was touching the housing i have posted a example in the drawing.
* one coolant seal was pinched and coolant was leaking into the intake chamber
*and one housing is flaking on the edge in the combustion area
* the ports are ported in such a pointless way leaving all edges and obstructions.
* the exhaust was said to be a street port also lol well looks to me like it was touched once on the side and just left to be.
*The apex seals are also not shiny at all on the tips they are all dipped and corroded from id say rust.
* the rotors were put in the wrong way so the oil slings near the rotor bearing was not slinging any oil.
well i am just tired of this happening. people here in my town and i want everyone else to see what you think of all this. this motor was claimed to be a reliable turbo motor and it never did run for the poor guy. so here are some pics of this so called tuner shop and what they do out of their garage. they use all used parts and claim they are the ****.

EEEWWWWW!!!! i hate seeing stuff like this it always seems like everyone with a semie fast car of any kind thinks they can work on anything and start and run a shop. too bad too cause there is so much info out there on the internet if people would learn about it first even if they cant do it themselves they will be able to look for certain things to not get ripped in the end.
shame

Bad thing is there are alot of shops that can sell ice to an eskimo. But when it comes to building a RX they talk alot and deliver little. People need to do research into where they take their cars. I have fixed alot of cars over the years put together buy "an expert builder". Over the years I have worked on everything from Packard to Ferrari and I find the Rx to be one of the more difficult ones. One pinched vaccumm line will make the car run like crap. The Rx is a awesome car to own and drive but takes great care to maintain properly.
