Evo R Motorsports aka "fd3s777"

I'm a two time customer of Evo R. A few years back I bought the LED taillights they sell. Not too shabby of a product, but they fog up (see below for "recall" thread). I sent messages and emails to him about getting a replacement harness that allegedly will fix this issue. I'm not overly concerned about getting the replacement harness, I can fix it myself, but if you are going to offer replacements, STAND BY YOUR PRODUCT.

Here's the second part and what aggravates me. I ordered the headlights he/they offer on black Friday. I realize that they are located in Taiwan, it will take a few weeks to get here. I asked in March (4 months after ordering in November) when they will arrive. No answer. I asked again last month. No answer. Finally, last week I submitted a ticket with PayPal to get my money back, and it is still in progress, and guess what? He hasn't gotten back to PayPal either. Safe to say, I won't be buying from him/them again.

and yes I realize in the emails I mentioned that I wasn't in a hurry, but I figured it wouldn't take 5+ MONTHS to get them. Is it too much to ask for a "they are on the way" message?

I might add, as of the time that I assembled this post, I have not received ANYTHING from Evo R in the mail, and have only heard the "Please send me order information" message since November.

Shoulda searched the name before sending money. I didn't and got hosed.
Only after I followed him around to several different websites telling everyone I got ripped off did I finally get my money back.... Goodfella and the other RX-7 Club mods put the pressure on him, as did the guys at Mazdaspeed and RX-8 Forums. I'm sure my thread is still around here somewhere

You don't see them offering their Knightsports headlight knock-off kit anymore.

My advice: Be the squeaky wheel. Raise hell. Google search the username EVO R, find the posts, pipe up, and make it worth it for him to give you back your money.

Good advice. I'm debating google searching and leaving bad reviews wherever I can but I don't exactly have a lot of time to spare. Maybe the next time I have a layover on a flight haha.

Here's an update. PayPal sided with me and I got my money back. A big to PayPal, at least their customer service is excellent

I'd also like to chime in here, I've been getting the same run around recently from Jay for a few a while now (actually 2+ years) and it has gotten a bit tiring. I purchased the first LED set he sold publicly a few years back and the first month in I have 1 pint of water in the left light.

After a bit of chasing around, I got a replacement light and was on my way for another two months... Before the year ended, the other side decided to leak as well and I tore them down and resealed them as the recall notice thing wasn't posted as yet.

I've been a very patient chap for three years but this is kinda getting annoying as I get a generic message from him saying "send me your shipping address"

since it's been so long, and I still haven't gotten the recall harness (already made my own fix), I doubt its possible to get a refund or partial but it would be nice if I could get something as this is just ridiculous
