I'm a fairly regular customer of Discount Tires. I usually pick out the tires I want and shop for price and Discount often wins out.

Recently I decided to swap a set of tires over from one set of wheels to another. Both sets had tires, so 4 tires had to be tossed. I called around to find out what the swap would run. When I called discount, they had seen that I'd bought tires there before and offered me the price for a returning customer, $58. I continued to make phone calls and found Discount had the best price by $10 so I called them back to make the appointment.

When I got to the shop and showed the employee the job, I was told the price would be $108! That much money for a 20 minute job of mostly labor (had new stems quoted) is absolutely outrageous. I told the employee the price I was quoted on the phone. He stated that there's no way they could do it for that price and let me walk out of the shop.

I went home and made a few more calls. I found that Peerless would do the job for $50, which I took advantage of, no shenanigans or extras. I'm now a happy Peerless customer and will not be returning to Discount again.
