buyer beware

I ordered an oil pan from built 2 apex this guy nadar was helping me he wanted full payment up front cause he said it was a custom oil pan
and I did pay him he said a couple of weeks will be ready
he jerked me around for month and half and he would not respond to my calls or texts and finally when I emailed him with a dispute threat I finally
got his attention, he has no customer service at all. I just wanted my oil pan
towards the end of all this he did call me names and said to never contact him again
so his oil pan did not fit properly I had to shave 3 different areas ,the hardware was not correct and he was suppose to include an oil pickup with that
deal I was promised an oil pickup yeh I didn't get one
I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND DOING BUISNESS WITH THIS COMPANY
HERE IS ONE PICTURE

Obvious craftsmanship issues aside, he sucks at managing expectations, and has an issue with honesty. He'd rather tell you what you want to hear and outright lie to you than be honest. It's a really shitty character flaw to have as a business owner.

And it might look like he used it as a door stop first and not even put all the parts in the box. He might also promise to refund you and/or ship you a new part and he might also do neither even though he told everyone he was going to.

I ordered a gas tank for my car last December. I figured it would take a couple of months, but not 6 months! It sucks because I bought all the parts to make a new fuel system. I want to race this year, but can't until I revamp my fuel setup and tune it.
I was told once, "never do business with somebody who also races" I should have listened.

I think Nader means well. He takes pride in his work and does an excellent job at fabrication.
His "meeting expectations" sucks and he knows it.
I think I will eventually get my new tank from him. I certainly hope so...I have about $2K in it!

Eff this guy and Built2Apex

I’ve been waiting a long long time for my part. Yes, I’ve been waiting since Mar for one little $700 part and he now doesn’t respond back!!!

My last email I said I’m contacting my bank to investigate his *** and I don’t care if he wins and keeps my money, at this particular point what can I do?? But if it causes him time, money and pain to fight it and I take some customers away from him in the process then it’s worth it.

He already said he would file suit to come after me for fraud if I called my bank!! He also openly and accidentally told me he never even started to work on my part!!! Like WTF dude??!! Lol

BUYER BEWARE!!!!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

This guy is the best lier and Bull Sh*ter I’ve seen in a while and will take you for a ride.

I was told not to buy from him from two other racers, one is a guy that’s known in rotary world. But I didn’t listen. It’s my own fault.

Thought I’d let you guys in on my progress with this guy. It took me filing out a claim with my bank and making an appointment with my base legal office to make sure I’m doing the right thing. And for the record I’m a 20year vet, I’d never take his money or his parts without paying he’s so full of crap.

Built 2 Apex then sent me this email.

“I see you filed a claim on the order. Glad I never shipped it out, I expected you'd pull some scumbag-type **** after your emails. The problem when people pull the **** you just did, is had I shipped your part out, you could still file a claim and I'd be out the part and cost. I've had fraudulent customers like you pull that plenty of times because they simply can't wait.

Picture attached for proof of your impatience. Normally I'd say, **** it, it's not worth the time I've got so many other customers to take care of, but I felt so compelled to just show you how wrong you are.

Next time you order from a small business, just don't, clearly, you didn't read the policies you agreed to when ordering.

In any case, enjoy your Sunday, good riddance.

oh and P.S. I left the layer of dust on each cover as a small indicator of the fact that I finished cutting them a while ago, as I said I did. Look up the word backlog, maybe then you'll "understand"”

I responded with this..

Sir,
My both my Bank and my Base Legal Office said it’s not fraudulent because I never received my part in a timely fashion and auto emails aren’t a form of communication and if I waited any longer to fight you in this I have a chance of losing my money because of the time frame you have me in. Perhaps it’s you that’s fraudulent! Perhaps that’s your plan to hold my money until I don’t have a leg to stand on.

I think you’re the biggest and best scammer I’ve ever come across!!! Look at your own reviews on Rx8 club and Rx7 club!!! You have about an 8% approval rating!! You don’t know the first thing about running a business and if you looked at the claim it says “or if part received in 30days!!!” So again, I think you’re the best scammer I’ve ever come across so congratulations on that. You’re a champion!!!

I honestly now think your diff cover wouldn’t have fit, simply by the reviews of your oil pans and other covers you make aren’t up to standards. Some are so off the holes don’t align and oil pans hit the subframes lol… You’re a joke and I wish I would have read up on you before buying but there’s no actual reviews on your shop. I only see your terrible reviews on the shop forums. Humm…. I wonder why that is?

FYI, Please never contact me again via email or by phone I will not play nice with a harassment case if you continue down this path.

This email is being forwarded for my protection thanks and have a great day.

It's amazing to see where all the angry customers ended up. By the way thanks Matt for pointing out this thread, now I know who to call out.

I think I'm pretty open about the fact that I'm heavily backlogged, the fact that nothing I make is held in stock, and the fact that I'm happy to accommodate custom requests. But there are certain things you can do, where I lose my cool.

For example, filing a credit claim. A lot of you don't realize the frustration and bullshit involved with being on the other side of this. You all ordered off the website and should have read through the policies.

The original poster (who took advantage of me driving out an hour and a half, scanned his car for free, and told him to expect the pan in a few months after the design was approved) filed a credit card claim because I missed 1 phone call. That's nearly a grand sucked out of the business bank account without any question. Period. And you expect me to be gracious and serving of his request after that? Absolutely not. I'm not a chain store and I'm not a retailer. Had Gazo taken a deep breath, and realized he's working with another small business just like his own, and not tried to screw me over by filing a claim after I shipped his pan, he would have found out I would have happily made a new pan, with respect to his feedback. Did I mention this was a custom 1 off pan for a 20B swap? Have I mentioned that I've cut billet 4 rotor dry sump plates multiple times on my own dime just to make the plate absolutely perfect, because I wanted to? That's the difference between a customer that is disrespectful, and a customer that is appreciative of working with a custom shop.

Why am I still around all these years and continuing to make parts for many applications? Because if you extend even an ounce of respect my way, I'll go to the end of the world for you. But if you get nasty, disrespectful, and hurt my ability to run my business and take care of my commitments, I could literally not care less.

Take for example Matt above, who likes to send angry emails on Sunday nights and throw insults around like he runs the world. Keep it respectful. It's not that hard. What Matt failed to show you from our email thread was the date-stamped picture of two differential covers, one intended to fulfill his order. Instead, he shows off his school-ground insults and claims of ill-fitting parts. It's easy to judge a company off a few angry customers when the thousands of others are busy enjoying my work, buddy. I think what pissed me off most about you was how you flipped your rhetoric so randomly. One day you tell me you understand things take time, the next you're threatening me with credit card claims and insulting my work. A simple "hey I need my diff cover right now I've got a race this weekend" would have sufficed.

And for folks that have trusted me with fuel tank pre-orders, and carbon fiber product pre-orders, to you, I owe the biggest apologies. My production timing is simply off, I'm not going to bore you with excuses, it's simply a matter of needing more time to deliver a better product. I've posted many times about this on my Instagram and Facebook pages, and I'd say every post or every other post is about the fact that I'm backlogged and working as hard as I can to catch up. Those that feel deceived, I apologize, but a simple phone call or a RESPECTFUL email is all you need to send over for an accurate status update on a product I'm still designing. I've made the mistake in the past of rushing parts out the door, see some complaints above, and it's made me look like a fool, so I just don't do that anymore. I rather make you wait a bit longer, and get a perfect part.

At the end of the day, maybe I seem like an ******* for not bending over and kissing everyone's *** when they get a little upset. The customer is always right, right? Like I said above, all I need is a tiny bit of respect, and whatever it takes I'll make sure my customers are happy. But I'm only human, I've been unnecessarily disrespected and I just haven't learned to sit there and take it.

You told me you kept the dust on my cover to show you cut it long ago…. Why on earth didn’t you just send it when you were finished???

Oh I know because you’re a liar!! Sorry to have hate I really am but dang man you got to hire help or something lol.

You’re a scammer and I pointed this thread out so you can perhaps hang it up and try something else.

And I do 100% understand the hassle of dealing with a claim from someone you think you’re the only one that runs a business?

BTW I do have LifeLock so I get alerts you silly boy I’d seriously reconsider …

Let's break this down line by line.
1. Because it still needs to be deburred, cleaned, hardware selected, etc. All very quick tasks, but still something I need to personally take the time to do, as the help I've had in the past has had a tendency of sending parts without hardware/ missing pieces. What you fail to understand is I'm extremely BUSY. I never disagree with the frustration, trust me I know better than anyone I need to improve my processes, but when you cross the line into becoming disrespectful with me, that's when I no longer give a ****.
2. You ever heard the expression good help is hard to find? I'm not running a convenience store bud, scroll through my instagram, look at my linkedin, I've had multiple attempts at hiring qualified personnel. It aint easy.
3. I'm not going anywhere, ever. Even if no one ever bought another part from me I'm still going to make RX7 and RX8 parts. It's who I am. I don't know any scammers that continue to take the time to respond to troll customers. You keep throwing that word around but you tried to file a claim on a product that just needed to be shipped. This is all going over your head obviously.
4. So you know how much of a nightmare it is and you decided "hey let me **** this guy over anyway" And you wonder why I don't care to take care of people like you?
5. What the **** does that have to do with anything?

Didn't I JUST PM you about this? And didn't I just remind you about how disrespectful you were and how I wasn't going to take that kind of ****, and how I would ship your order inline instead of ahead of people who ordered before you?
Didn't you say earlier in this thread you'd take me to small claims court? Why don't you tell everyone what you ordered... oh right a $50 set of bearing caps.
Chill out, dude. Seriously.

You’re going to shut down yet another paying customer?? It doesn’t matter if it was a $10 part he ordered, you scammed all of us bro. You’re good, really good.

Well I hope this should be enough to scare anyone thinking of dealing with you or at least make them think twice about ordering from you or Built 2 Apex..

You guys take care peace ✌🏻!!!!
