Just curious to see what some folks are running for their AI tanks and an estimation of how many tanks of gas you go through before you need to refill the AI tank. Obviously injection rates will vary as every setup is different and not everyone will be injecting the same mixture. So, a brief description of the setup would be nice.

Depends if your boosting. A canyon run will be about 5 gallons of Meth for every 10 gallons of fuel. If you beat on it every once in a while, it's 5 gallons every two tanks. When you boost, your injecting Methanol. If you're off boost, then your not using any meth.

Yeah I know that meth is only being injected under boost and that consumption will vary with driving. I just want to see what kind of setups people are doing with what kind of driving and how long their tanks last.

I haven't put my AI kit in yet and have been wondering what size tank to use. I picked up a 1 gallon jaz cell a while back, but I don't want to have to refill the meth as often as I have to refill the gas tank. My car is a street car and there will be a good deal of highway cruising where meth will not be needed. However, It will see some weekend track days during the summer and I'd like to have some capacity to be able to romp on it for a while before running low on meth. Ideally I'd like a setup that I could get away with ~5 tanks of gas per tank of meth with normal street driving and the occasional lead foot incident. I don't think a 1 gallon cell will be close.

Is 5 tanks of gas per tank of AI an unreasonable goal for street driving without needing a huge tank? I plan to run 20+psi of boost with my 500r on a large streetport 13bt.

Rez can you post some pics of your tank setup in your FC?

Also, do you guys use tanks with foam in them?

I have a tank that is just under 2L in capacity, using a single 375cc nozzle it would just out last a tank of fuel driving hard. With the 675cc, it would run out after half a tank of dyno runs.

I'd imagine for most reasonable injection rates, you're going to want something larger, at the least 3.5L. Since I run water, my injection rates are lower then what you can get away with running meth. But figure 2L @ 375cc = 1 S4 tank of fuel driven hard the whole time.
