Traction Control and AI

Now I know most of you use your right foot for traction control. But my right foot is a size 13 and weighs too much so I use RaceLogic's TC. I have the system to use only fuel injection control. It cuts +50% fuel very rapidly to control loss of traction as calculated by the difference in ABS wheel sensor speed.

Here is my dilemma: the impacts of any AI system that are based on a certain baseline of gasoline delivery is going to be problematic when that fuel is cut.

For example, if the engine is consuming 4000cc of fuel a minute, and I am injecting a "cocktail" of 500cc a minute (same problem if methanol, Nitrous, or water...just different results) and I lose traction, my fuel could be cut to 2000cc of fuel a minute.

If the car is tuned for a combustible AI cocktail, I will go lean. If it's water only, I think I will have too much water and either bog or break.

That is my issue. Now that I have typed all that I am sure there is solution already out there in one of the other forums, arrived at from injecting Nitrous into a vehicle with OEM TC. All of the "big boys" around here with the worked small blocks, injecting nitrous into Z()6's around here keep the TC turned off.

I am not an EE by trade but enough of an engineer to think that using the TC system to cut the AI at the same time as the fuel injectors are cut is probably going to be the near the solution.

Any other ideas?

Tony

BTW, the Racelogic system works very well. There are two us in my local area that run it with great success. I have tuned it to allow a little bit of "step out" while not allowing a complete "swing out" in WOT in any gear. It is kinda interesting to go WOT throttle right after a rain storm and just acclerate. Albeit, with a lot of "fanfare."
