Tell me about injection pumps.

From what I can ascertain from looking at their websites, most w/i kit makers use the same or similar pumps. I assume they get them from the same supplier. Does anyone know anything about these pumps, who makes them, how they are alike and how they are different, who other than the w/i kit makers sells them, and so on?

Also, is the pump driver a part of the pump, or a part of the controller? Thanks for answering my newbish questions.

Many are just sureflo garden pumps with high pressure epdm internals, other like aquamist have a piston style pump.

While some pumps do look similar, others are obviously a different design. I don't know alot of people with systems, but not aware of any one brand having a particular higher failure rate. FWIW my 150 psi Coolingmist has been working as advertised for a couple driving seasons...no complaints.
