Tap GReddy Elbow?

Can I tap the GReaddy with a 1/8th NPT without having to weld anything onto it? Is the casting thick enough to support an AEM water injector without any other support?

I tapped mine. Haven't had a problem since installing. I would just recommend taking your time. It is a bit thin.
