Starting To save for a good upgrade...What do you think?

I have started to save for a water/methanal injection kit. After reading about it on this forum and talking to my budy who owns a shop, I am convinced it is the best reliable upgrade you can do.

I have only found a few kits (2 to be exact) and I feel this is the best one. http://www.snowperformance.net/products.php?p_cat=324

It looks like I can get a stage 2 kit with some good upgrades for under $1k. Thats a better power to price ratio than anything I have ever put on my cars.

Does anyone know about this company or know of any other companies that make a good water/methanal injection system?

there are a few companies out there. depends what you really want out of your car to determine which one you should get.

i have a aquamist kit. coolingmist makes quality kits and a rep is on this forum for them.

fjo is probably the best of the AI sysytems available, but pricey. now i said probably so i hope no one jumps to conclusions. my .02

Reliable up till the time you run out of water/methanol while boosting and blow your motor :P

I'm very happy with my AlkyControl methanol injection kit. It has a low tank level sensor which I wired into my oil level light in the dash. With this kit you'd have to be an idiot to blow your motor from running low on meth.

Right now I'm running 23 psi with 20% meth & 80% 91 octane gas. My timing is still a bit conservative, my goals are 500 rear wheel hp using pump gas. I'm not that far from my goal right now. Eventually I'll crank up the boost to 28 and see what the setup does...this will be with 30% meth and a 50/50 mix of 100 & 91 octane.

This is the next big upgrade that I'm going to get. I have to wait till I have a good tuner as I will have to retune my engine.

Let us know how it goes!

Number one mod for every rx7. Unforunately all the big name companies come with cheezy plastic fittings and hose. I've already seen that **** split on cars, talk about the wrong stuff!

That's the reason I went with the Alkycontrol kit...all of the lines are stainless steel, and the meth is kept in a 4 gallon fuel cell in the spare tire area. Nothing cheesy here.
