PR Mineral deposits - cause for concern?

I guess I have really heavy or hard water because I only use PUR filtered tap water for my injection setup but recently while taking things apart for an unrelated install I saw that the intake pipes have a white kinda chalky coating that I suppose is mineral residue from the water. I'm going to start buying distilled but should I even worry? Thanks

That is why I am a purists for distilled water to be used with or without alcohol and not use commercial washer fluid.

Too me all deposits are bad, so why add more.

For those who disagree, why do you not through away your air filters?

You will find that raw aluminium will also build up a bit more "loose" oxide & salts from being wetted & dried with treated water, not necessarily all mineral buildup, fluoride or chlorine in the water will react with the aluminium to form salts.
