Hatch mounting pump and tank

To the guys out there running Aux Injection on their FDs, what is your setup like? Particularly how you mounted your tanks and pumps?

I have the AEM V2 Kit.

I am moving my tank and pump to the rear of the car and was wanting to do a larger tank than the supplied one. I also don't have the OEM rear carpet piece so it's just bare chassis in the back atm. I was considering fabbing a piece that could be bolted to the various studs on the chassis that I could then bolt my kit to.

What material would be strong enough but still light enough to mount the pump and tank to? And what are alternatives that you guys have done

Jp3 sells the pump mount and the 5 gallon aem reservoir can only be mounted up against the divider. If you use a reservoir of some other shape then you have options

I've been researching water/meth installations myself, and for a rear mounted tank that doesn't eat up cargo space, this Sakebomb setup is hard to beat: https://www.sakebombgarage.com/trunk...njection-tank/

Only downside is it holds just over 2 gallons (8.2 liters), which might not be enough juice for some folks doing serious track time. And it's currently not in stock, and kind of spendy ($585) when it is. If you can get your hands on a used euro spec FD rear washer tank, that could be a good water/meth tank option for a street driven FD; IIRC, it holds somewhere between 1~2 gallons.

It seems like I will probably go towards the JP3 pump bracket to have that installed there. But as for the tank. I can't use the Sakebomb garage due to my rear mounted battery, also from JP3. Plus as FDAUTO said, I want a bigger tank for longer track use. Probably going to go with something closer to 5 gallons so it's going to be heavier, but I haven't decided yet on the size.
I have seen pictures from other members where they have a large metal tank that look to hold around 4 Gallons and have them bolted down to the car, but it isn't clear from those photos if they are bolted to the chassis or if that have something in between to give them more "meat" to thread into.
My concern is with something that heavy, the thin metal of this area of the chassis would not be enough it in place and would strip easily, especially if you're trying to tighten it down which is absolutely necessary. So instead of trying to tap holes in the chassis to bolt down the large tank, instead you could use a material like wood to make a base that could be bolted down to the various stock chassis studs located in the back for the plastic trim and other things. Bolt the tank down tightly to the base -> then mount the base tightly down the the chassis with the multiple studs to spread out the weight over a larger area.

Nutserts will do exactly what you need. The area just behind the rear divider isn't as flimsy as you think. No part of the car is as it relates to mounting something.

Keep in mind the reservoir can be literally anything. If you Google search 5 gallon reservoirs you will find many options in various shapes in sizes. Finding one that will make you happy won't be hard.
