unfortunately, i finished the install nov 31 and it started snowing. winter has descended upon wisconsin and the car is in the barn awaiting a thaw. generally my car is completely (and i mean completely) apart each winter but it is actually ready to roll.

i will be installing a Speedway Eng front swaybar and 265/295 rubber but other than that is locked and loaded.

i am as bummed as you all as i really want to crank up the boost and evaluate the FJO system on the Beyond Redline dyno.

I can't wait to see the differance that this AI will make for you. Keep us posted. Maybe I will have something to add this summer as well.

yes, i installed it mid summer last year and there have been no issues whatsoever. i picked up 4-5% of injector duty cycle and eliminated the Ms bulge in base fuel at transition.

i recommend that anyone running resistors carefully read the first post in the above thread. the Peak and Hold module, along w AI, should be on any modded FD.

thanks for your interest but post 26 pretty much is the story. i do not drive my car in the wisconsin winter so it will unfortunately have to wait until March.

it isn't fun to wait.

Howard,

10-4 on that. It had been a while since I read the complete thread and forgot about the post regarding the "snow". I'll look forward to your update. I am leaning heavily toward the FJO system and may have mine intalled in February. I'll let you know.

howard,
how do you, the user, control the boost? is there an in cockpit interface/button/switch for the system? Or is all set from the software, so once you set it using the laptop it maintains that boost level and you cant change it without the laptop?
I'm interested in this kit. Whats the price on this kit? It is the same kit being advertised here?
http://www.alamomotorsports.com/FJO/waterinjection.html
cuz you refer to it as 2nd gen and I am only seeing one generation being sold on the market, just wanna make sure its not the "old" 1st gen kit that I am seeing

i will call FJO monday (tomorrow) and advise. mu guess it that Alamo's listing is the new item as they mention the 4 bar boost controller that wasn't on the first gen model. however, this is not something where you want to be wrong.

Are you sure this thing has a boost CONTROLLER...and not just a MAP sensor to read the boost for the system? All stuff i see selling makes no mention of a boost controller..just 48psi map sensor. The stuff shown on alamo is exact same info shown on the FJO site, which from the site is the only methanol/water injection kit shown. It seems the to be the one you have as it speaks to the use software and 1d and 2d mapping, which i dont THINK was offered on the first gen kits. So based on the price there..it would cost around $700 for the kit with the accessories? Am I missing anything?

i spoke w FJO a week or two ago. the second Gen (not to be confused w the FC) AI system should be avail in March. you are correct re the materials on any site refer to the earlier AI system.

yes, the unit does have a (4 bar) boost controller... note the FJO solenoid in one of the earlier install photos. the boost controller, AFR and AI all talk to each other and are of course capable of being set to your wishes to provide a safeguard backup.

i am expecting winter to go away and will be dynoing on Beyond Redline's brand new Eddy Current DynoJet in March if the snow goes away.

Howard,

Have you finished your FJO AI install? If so, can you advise the results/satisfaction? I have now been waiting 3 months for the 2nd Gen Controller from FJO. They have said "end of the month" and I have watched March, April and now May go by. Don't know if I should continue to wait, or look at the Aquamist unit with 3D mapping.

i received my uprated AI module friday. after being away for a couple of days i expect to install it today (Memorial Day).

i will contact FJO tuesday and find out exactly when the for sale units are avail. i will post it here and send you a PM.

the module that i received and installed late November does have 1000 miles on it and appears to work well w the exception that it locks under logging. only the logging locks, not the alcohol.

back at you tomorrow.

Howard,

Since you removed the AVCR becuase the FJO AI will control boost; how will you switch from "low boost" to "high boost" on the FJO system\setup?
