CT-AI is what i want for 07

the wisconsin roads and tracks are again unsafe for wimmin, chillin and cows. my car just rolled out of the barn and after a couple of tweeks will br ready to roll.

which means, among other things, that the 80% pump 20% methanol thread will reactivate very soon.

i am still running the Alkycontrol progressive system that has served me well so far.

but times have changed and it is time to move forward.

07 is the year of the High Speed Valve, or even the Super High Speed Valve.

currently, AFAIK, there are 3 Valve-AI vendors:

in alpha order:

Aquamist
Coolingmist
FJO

AI is evolving quickly into a configuration more like an additional fuel injection system and there are HUGE advantages:

much more precise delivery & flexibility.

progressive systems, properly selected and tuned, IMO, work great on the drag strip or dyno. road racing is another story. on and off the gas, nope.

but HSV or SHSV is only half of the need.

we (AI consumers) need a rational method of directing the valve.

there has been lots of huffing and puffing about "summing" our primary and secondary fuel injectors to derive the total base fuel in Ms so we can parallel pump delivery which would be optimum.

i see no one has delivered as yet.

there is another option that would work excellently....

construct a X and Y graph w, say 15 by 15 (225) cells. since we only inject under boost we don't need the full cell count......

rpm on the bottom, load vertical.

direct the AI delivery on a cell by cell basis.

bingo, you have it all.

most AI systems which are progressive have no ability to taper delivery after peak torque since they are boost referenced which is generally constant w your right foot on the floor.

not so w a Cell Tuned HSV AI System.

we need CT-AI in 07. i will be running some sort of such a system in july.

With the FJO system you can inject on a cell tuned basis. If you want you can download there software and poke around.

Sorry ours is taking so long. We started on the smart injection and then the S-HSV came up. Now we are working on a nice update to vari-cool and the Smart injection as well.

We are still a few months away from the smart injection being done, parts have a huge lead time and the programming is extensive. We will introduce ours when the time comes.

howard, what are you planning on running? the solenoid valves hooked up to something like a haltech or megasquirt?

also. dumb question... which sensor does the ecu use to measure load?

thanks

no dumb questions here.......

the ecu measures load thru the map sensor. vacuum and boost pressure defines load.
