Aquamist Trouble

Hi,
I recently installed the priming pump driver into my car and wired it up exaclty as the diagram shows for my aquamist 1s. It does not seem to be working. I use a hand pump connected to the pressure switch to simulate boost and the aquamist pump comes on but the priming pump does not.

Here is what I have done so far:
Connected priming pump relay coil to 12v and ground, verified relay shut and continuity across main contacts.

Verified +12v at relay terminals 30 and 86.

THIS IS THE INTERESTING PART: Orange wire is connected to terminal 85. With no pressure going to the pressure switch this is ungrounded(good). With pressure applied to the pressure switch orange goes to ground, however the relay does not close the main contact and power is not sent to the booster pump.

I have checked the relay and swapped other relays in from known working components with the same results. I am thinking that the internal resistance in the priming pump driver is too high for enough current to flow through the coil to shut the relay. Every other component has been verified and the wiring has been checked 5 times.



The other issue I am having is my flow is way lower than expected. I directly connected the priming pump to battery voltage to get it running and triggered the aquamist pump with the pressure switch. I have two 0.7mm nozzles. So based on the 1s flow chart, I should be getting 2x260ml/min = 520ml/min. What I actually got was a total volume of 260ml after running the pumps for one minute. I understand that this was at 12V and not 13.8v with the car running and the check valve i installed should reduce flow a bit, but this number is way to low to be due to those things.

Any thoughts?

What size nozzles are giving an actual measured flow of 500-520 ml/min?

I guess no one wants to touch this one! I'm thinking of getting rid of the 1S setup and starting over with an HFS3.

I did some flow tests with the 1S and here is what I found so far:
@11.9V
Flow with booster pump and 2 0.7mm nozzles is 250 cc/min
Flow with no booster pump and no nozzles is 210 cc/min
Flow with booster pump and and no nozzles is 530 cc/min

@13.9V
Flow with no booster pump and no nozzles is 210 cc/min
Flow with booster pump and no nozzles is 550 cc/min

So with the booster pump and larger nozzles this system will meet my power requirements, but it will inject an constant flow across all boost and RPM ranges. I am considering the HFS3 because it's injection is directly proportional to fuel delivery and it comes with flow sensors and failsafes included.
