AI injectant getting to wastegate

So apparently, a little water/meth has been sucked through the wastegate over the past 1.5 years of running non-IC. I took it apart and there was a little corrosion. Nothing crazy, but still some evidence.

The reason I check the wastegate is kinda drawn out, so here is the short version:

Wastegate was working fine. Then I tried to install a boost controller, but the wastegate never opened no matter how low I set the controller. I disconnected the boost controller and re-connected all the vac lines how they were before the failed boost controller install. Went for a test ride, and the wastegate never opened again. The boost seemed to flutter a little, but it felt like something was wrong so I let off the boost and stayed off until I could have it all looked at.

That's when I saw the corrosion on the spring and inside the wastegate. Cleaned it all off, put it back together and drove the car. Everything was fine, boosted great, and the wastegate opened fine.

That leads me to believe that the corrosion some how stuck the spring. It really was a minimal amount, cleaned off easily too. So has anyone else had this happen, and what are you all doing to prevent it?

I am sure there is some type of inline filter I can use, any one found one that works well, and still gives a true vac reading?
Thanks

ok. I guess everyone needs a little while to check their wastegates for corrosion...?

Here is a pic. I know it doesn't look like much so I am lead to believe that this was not the cause of the wastegate sticking...?
