AI Forum Links

Knowledge is (horsepower, o k torque).

While our rotary AI injection section is off to a positive start it currently is a bit on the short side as far as posts/threads.

Many of us are just getting up onto the curve re AI. Of course it has all been done before. So why not do a warpspeed deal and just read all about it on the net. Of course the resources aren’t generally rotary but much of the engineering is close to identical and the specific rotary metrics will be hammered out and posted here.

The sole purpose of this thread should be to post other AI-Forum address sections.

Let’s keep the engineering white paper stuff for another thread that I will introduce that will be a reference repository of all metrics. (coming soon.)

What should follow here is a link listing, ideally with number of threads, of all AI forums. Vendors, often have helpful forums and should be included and noted as “vendor forum.”

Since there’s lots out there I would appreciate everyone’s help. Please confine to forums on this thread.

Here are a few for your reading pleasure, additions welcomed.

67 pages…. 2663 threads (full disclosure: Julio Don, aka “Razor” is the moderator of this forum as well as principal @ Alkycontrol, a major vendor)

Aquamist is missing and is a major global player primarily using water. I believe their site is currently being refixtured and will re-open. If the site can be accessed thru a cache someone please let us know. If anyone has the inside on when it will reopen please post the new URL as soon as the site is up.

additions to the above welcomed.

reinventing the wheel!

for all the guys who just discovered this great new revellation, W/I,, ALKY/I,, 50-50 etc.etc. to best of our knowledge, for infernal combustion engines, RICARDO did many tests, back in the 20s, move up to the 40s the late and great NACA studys, for the sole purpose of human killing machines, called B-29 superfortress. GM was a major player in those studys. finally the 50s, my father bought a new CADILLAC sedan 1950, in hot whether it would make a PINKLE,PINKLE< sound when accelerating, talked to the dealer, said that GM had a kit for just that, under the hood they put a glass jar with water in it, about 2 quarts, and a hose run up to the carburator, must have worked for dad, NOW get this, in the winter they said put 50=50 mix of antifreeze and water, (how many remember alcohol anti freeze). GM probably knows more about A/I than we will ever know, how many cars can you name that had factory available water or 50-50. GM has had a number of them!

I notice SMC is absent from the Vendor List..

http://www.smcenterprises.com/

Steve has been dabbling in the booze for a LONG time! I am running one of his kits now.

i like not only like steve's products products but greatly respect his accomplishments as a winning racer.

as a matter of fact steve's comment on his website about (having a turbocharged performance car without AI is nuts), paraphrased, gave me an initial double-take that started my interest. after a year of research and on the road testing, BTW, steve's comment proved out.

when we start a thread dedicated to a listing of all vendors SMC will of course be included.

this thread is only for FORUMS, the concept being that by reading thru other forums we can get up to speed faster. steve doesn't have a forum so he isn't on the list.

Smc

that is a shame!! I have had my SMC system since 2002, and ther was not hardly any info just that short time back. SMC was recomended by a good freind with a GN Buick, said it worked great . anyway I think the reason NOW, we are all looking into A/I, because Turbocharger & electronic Technology has advanced so rapidly, pushing the envelope of engine performance. every engine related site out there seems to have ever increasing knowledge about A/I. and I will admit that a Mazda rotary when pushed, needs somthing to control abnormal combustion. the V/E of a wankel, is absolutly incredible, in relation to a piston unit! you very rarely hear a rotary backfire! A project im working on now, will use the latest SNOWs W/M system, be it 50-50, all meth, all water.
