Can tell you S7 = S8 in regards layout.....can supply a few of the parts diagrams, but you'd have to be very patient to draw up a schematic from that, would be much better off documenting the system as you pull it apart. Suggest you also apply voltage and pressure to the solenoids like the old fault finding system rather than work off a resistance value, most of the malfunction modes I've seen, come from momentary stickiness in the mechanical operation of the solenoids .

Distortion and leaks of the black box housings on these models seems to be a major problem, even on the very latest cars.

i thought it looked like a s8 was just wondering if their is any differences and i also really need a diagram because it has had a new short block from Mazda put in before i brought it and i think they fuked up some lines it has never run second turbo properly a only about 6 to 7 psi, i have replaced all hoses with good silicon ones and all check valves but still no luck!

Noticed you've posted in the S8 vacuum thread....original poster had a link to fdowners.com, think there's a bit of labeling of the system over there...seems to be a bit of confusion from what I can gather on a few aspects!

If the worst comes - and I see you have the basic diagram already - part nos are -

Solenoids 18-741D(#1), 3 of B6AT-18-741, 4180 yen each

Solenoids 18-741D(#2), 4 of FEGC-18-741, 4320 yen each
some are using the solenoids out of a more locally available piston Mazda for both

Complete black box 20-4B0, N3F1-20-4B0, 35,200 yen

13-140, N3F1-13-140, 3300 yen.

Know you've replaced them, but just in case..
Check valves 13-995(#1) HE41-13-995, 1680 yen....may be able to use Dale's

Got to add 5% tax in Japan, won't attempt to convert to pounds...if you're in the UK(?), or margin from one of the importers!

Pressure checking the box (and probably all the actuators, from your description) would still be a worthwhile investment of some time I think.

I recently swapped engines over in my mates Series 7 and the clever bugger decided to take of all the hoses that connect to the solanoids so I had the fun task of piecing it back together. I had a fair bit of trouble tracing back where they all went due to half the hoses being snapped when they got pulled off and I could not find a decent series 7/8 vacuum diagram. I had another look at my series 6 one and noticed that they are pretty damn similar just the configuration has changed and they now have a solanoid box rather than the old rats nest as you prob know but if you use the s6 diagram you can figure out and trace where the hoses need to go. If you need some more solanoids I have heaps spare. As for your boost issues it sounds like you have got the turbo control solanoids around the wrong way. If you lift up the air cannistor that sits in between the altenator and the UIM you will see 2 solanoids the bolt to the side of the UIM oneplug should have a dot on it the other wont, just try swapping them around and you should now have sufficient boost on the second turbo. Another cause may be if they have somehow swapped or replaced the lines to your actuaor eliminating the restricer pill, but try the first option first and gofrom there as that is the most common solution to this fault.

Good luck

there are no restrictor pill because i looked for them when i replaced the vac lines do i need to put some in?
do i just swap the plugs or are they oneway actuators and swap the hoses?
also i am looking for a secondhand apexi power fc
thanks for your help

Think it's been pointed out in the past, S8 had the restrictors built into the nipples rather than in the lines, as to whether S7 are the same....hmmm.

d1rx7 has posted the vacuum diagram in the 3rd gen section, confusingly labeled "wireing" if you haven't been emailed it.
