I am new to this forum but have owned an RX7 for sometime and have finaly dragged it out of the garage and got it running, I have a 13B PP in a S1 race car.

I am a boat builder by trade and have decided I am going to knock up some moulds for some parts of my car.

I am going to be using Full carbon with nomex core of corse i will be using epoxy, i am going to be making

- bonnet
- fenders
- nose cone
- lights/covers
- mirrors
- doors
- rear wing
- spoilers
- flares

my aim is to first enjoy working on my car, i also want to see how light i can get it, my car is due for a spray so it will be good to change the colour from silver to a gun metal leaving the bonnet in naked carbon

 

hmmm sounds like it will be interesting

 

fender flares is a big item here. oh, and bonnets too. we in america call them hoods though.

 

carbon fiber head light covers would be so nice

 

I have a few mates that have cut out 90% of the roof and replaced with carbon too !!
