Rotary scene is massive over here, we dominant all the small car events. Thres pretty much atleast a track in every state, Victoria has 2, ACT has none. Jump over to ausrotary and ask some specifics in the Off Topic section

Canberra ACT is where I am....good scene here with a good smaller club (www.react.org.au)
No 1/4 track at the moment although they keep promising to build one. There is a circuit track only an hour away in Goulburn.
Sydney NSW has WSID 1/4 track, also has Oran park circuit, and is only 1.5 hours from Goulburns track (www.wakefieldpark.com.au)
Brissie has 2 circuits from memory, and one 1/4
Melbourne Vic,, adelaide SA, Perth WA, Darwin NT, and Hobart TAS, all have rotary clubs , workshops etc.
NB Australia being right hand drive cars has more rotary models than the USA...we received the RX7 up until 1998 (In series 7) and since then we have also been able to import the Series 8 (up until 2002) of course there is the old scene too from cosmo 110s up through r100,rx2,rx3,rx4,rx5 shudder, rx7 gen 1 --> and the rx8. Plus probably a few odd ones I have missed. And then there are the non Mazda models too!
We also have a very broad range of decent rotor workshops with a minimum of 10 highly noted shops in Sydney / Melbourne. a good number in the other cities as well (Even little Canberra has a few!)
And don't forget it you sell your home, and bring cash with you, you will be well off over here. our dollar is only worth around 77c compared to the greenback.
Hope that helps.

Parts over here are much cheaper, lot more modified rotors over here that you see around, what area are you looking at? Coming from Florida I'd recommend Brisbane, similar climate. We have of the best strips in the country here.
When you say racing, you mean real racing.. circuit?

There's a lot of Rotarys in both circuit and drag racing over here.
Here's a link from a recent race meet at Qld Raceway
