Depends on purchase price as you have to pay stamp duty etc when it's licenced.
But, when I got my $17,000 rx-7 licenced I think it cost me around $1500 to get it licenced.
Best bet would be to head down your local licencing place when they aren't too busy and ask them...they are usually very helpful.
Also, try asking for peoples experiences on your local forum www.perthrotor.com

Also as far as requirements.
Most things on the car need to work for it to be roadworthy.
The easiest way is to take the car over the pits. They will check it over and give you a list of what needs to be fixed (if anything).
Then only spend your time and money on whats on that list, as that is all they will check for next time you take it over. I think they give you a month to get the stuff fixed.
Take it over again and if those things have all been repaired, you pay your licencing fees etc, they give you a set of licence plates, and you drive it home fully licenced!
