Good dealings with ROTORSPORT

Hi guys and gals,

Just had some good dealings with a couple of rotary places so i thought id give you all a heads up (you might want to consider using these guys if you need help with your car, and dont want some monkey mindlessly f&cking around with it).

I have a Series 7 Rx7 (Jap Spec), and after getting frustrated with alot of places not knowing WTF my car is about, I took it to ROTORSPORT Belmore (Mike Mortimer 02 9718 8096). A day later, my prob is fixed.

Apart from getting the result i wanted, the good thing about Mike was he didnt try to bullshit me. After having lots of shops try to extract every last f&cking dollar out of me by saying my car had problems it clearly didnt have (its nearly a daily occurance with an FD - they think your loaded cause it looks like a porsche ), it was different for someone to be on the level with me.

I have also heard really good reports about Ric Shaw rotary from a mate, who also diagnosed and fixed his PITA problems.... I rang him for some advice on the problem i was having when i first got it, and he seemed to know what he was talking about...

I second what you just said there mate. I too have a J Spec 6 and like you, I took it to just about every rotor shop in Sydney to be given the run around on what they thought "could be wrong" with my car. I went to Pac Performance and thought they were very if not extremely rude. What turned out to be a few failed solenoids, they quoted me about 2.5k to fix by throwing in a new ECU so that was a good example of dishonesty.

Rotormaster were pretty honest but they were always booked out months in advance so no I cant really comment. Ric Shaw also ripped me off big time, who said I had a buggered or clogged cat, and after charging me 500 to replace it with a supposed hi flow cat, that still didn't fix the problem. Which leads me to Rotorsport as mentioned. I went there and to have old Mick show me exactly what was wrong infront of me as well as charging appropriately did restore my faith in humanity.

I highly recommend him for all your mechanical problems, not so much performance enhancement, but if your in Sydney and want to get your rotor back to square one his your man. Old wise and honest is all I can say.

Good luck,

LR
