Hi guys, I'm new here, and at the moment am looking at a couple of first generation rx-7's.

Although I'm very keen to learn, I don't know too much about the mechanics of cars, so I was just wondering if there was anything that I should really watch for when buying a first-gen rx-7?

Also, a mate suggested before I buy the car I had the compression of the engine tested; where can I get this done?, how easy is it to do this? and what exactly will it tell me?

My apologies for the very 'noobish' questions, but as I said I am keen to learn and you gotto ask these questions to learn.
