E85 Washdown

Has anyone besides me experienced this? I am guessing its because of the fuel lube and not a proper pre-mix in the E-85, but when I go to crank when its cold the engine acts like it has zero compression, then it builds up compression as fuel starts circulating...

i use alcohol soluble premix, and it seems to behave alot better. The stuff is crazy expensive though

What are you using?
I bought some Klotz Benol, and put it in some methanol. It seemed to settle to the bottom. On the bottle it says it is methanol compatible too!

i think sometimes the dye settles to the bottom and the actual premix mixes in.
I saw this noted in a writeup on the different kinds of premix with alcahol based fuels for dirt bikes but i cant find it now!!

I often wonder if E85 isn't soluble with reg (cheap) premix can would it work to inject the cheap premix through the OMP?
Im tired of paying like i think $.50 in premix per gal of E85.

I did a little test with Klotz by putting it in some E85 and seeing what it does.
It immediately settles to the bottom, but if you shake it up, it disperse's and stay suspended in the mixture.
So in order for it to disperse in your tank, you will have to put it in first and hopefully, it will mix when you fill with E85. I am thinking about just adding a little E85 to each bottle of Klotz and shaking it up good before I put it in my tank.
About the washdown J. Have you changed your oil lately?
