E85 EGT's (What are yours)

I have been logging my EGT's since switching to E85. My EGT probes are in the manifold preturbo on both runners. Normal egt temperatures with Gas are around 500 C (932 F) idle, 700 C (1300 F) cruise, 900-1000 C (1650-1830 F) WOT. At least this is what I have seen.

Why don't we list EGT's and your probes locations at Idle, WOT, and Cruise

So far I have only done idle work and will hopefully get into cruise this weekend. I can't believe my readings, under hood heat is so much less than on Gas.

Pre Turbo EGT Locations
Idle 12.8 AFR
EGT 500-520 F

My PLX EGT probes are in the manifold preturbo on both runners.
My normal egt temperatures with Gas seem very high:
600 C idle,
850 C cruise,
950-1000 C WOT.

Sorry about that omission. I use Gas.
Our nearest E-85 station is 100 miles away.

I have 2 probes mounted on the turbo manifold (pre turbo).

Last night at cruise (no boost) I saw a max egt of 1000 deg F and that is with an AF of 14-15.5's for about 1 min of cruising at that air fuel.

This is on E85. I'll post some boost data soon.

I am thinking the numbers are off, I posted to get some opinions so thanks for responding. I am not sure what advance but I'll look t the datalog soon, it has to be in the 30-35 deg area and split is either 10 or 12 since I am in vacuum. The rpm was around 4000-4200. Do you really think that's too cold?

mine are at 900-1000F at idle so that sounds very cold at cruise!

i was at California speedway last Saturday.at the big end my egt's were 1650 front and 1600 rear rotor.it was 100+ degrees outside.the boost was at 19 psi.E85 is the only fuel i have monitored my egt's.what kind of egt's would you expect to see on gas at 19-20 pounds of boost?my egt probes are about 2 inches from the exhaust port

Thanks for the response. I was hoping to see lower EGTS on E85. Those seem to be around the same EGTs on gas.

cooler EGT'S

went to california speedway today gave the car some timimg, pulled some fuel.when i went through the lights my EGT'S were at 1500 degrees.the car went its best pass to date with these EGT'S.it went 1.41 60 ft 6.60 @ 103 1/8 mile,10.44 @ 126 1/4 mile.27 degrees total advance at 8000 rpm. i think one or two more degrees with E85 would still be safe.
