Speed sensor works on dash but not ECU

Speed sensor works on dash but not ECU
From what I read online, there is only one speed sensor on the trans for an FD rx7. Why would the speed sensor work for my dash, but my Modular ECU show 0?
Edit: well I just noticed there was a thread already about this issue, so my bad. I should have looked a little harder. But I saw the solution seemed to be to jump a wire from the speed sensor directly to the ECU, or that the wire to the ECU could be damaged. I'm using a Rywire harness, so I don't think that would be the problem.
