Idle is really high, question
A little back ground first on my situation.
I installed a new motor and a new ecu at the same time in my FD, had the harness redone as well by a member. I got the car started today for the first time which was exciting. Definitely some issues to fix but the one that's really bugging me is the idle. The car fired right away first try which was nice but immediately went to 3krpms. I stupidly left the TPS unplugged but plugged it in upon realization. Car stumbled a sec at this point, I blipped the throttle and the rpm rose to 4k. Car was warmed up at this point and the smoke was gone so I shut her down.
My setup in my FD
Adaptronic PnP select
Large streetport motor by DJseven
RE intake manifold setup with Rotary works Throttle body
NS twins
Stock ignition
FFE crank trigger
Stock 550 primaries
ID2000 secondaries
I immediately checked for a vacuum leak and for the life of me cant find one. There is fewer nipples and potential leaks on a RE setup. The car is sucking air hard thru the bypass port on the throttle body.
I also checked the TPS and it is indeed within spec.
Something else I can check???
This leads me to think its the base map, I must have missed something. I started with the S6 rx7 base map provided in the ecu and made the necessary changes according to the Installation guide. I used elliots setting for the FFE wheel since I am running wasted spark. I'm hoping I missed something in the map and someone can call me out on it so I can get some sleep.
I cant attach the file, it says its invalid so If I could email it to someone who is knowledgeable that would be amazing. Thanks everyone.

If you unplug the iac motor and the idle is still that high its mechanical. Either throttle is hung open or massive vacuum leak. Sometimes iac can be leaking internally. This does not sound ecu related.

There is no iac. Should've mentioned that ad well. I didn't install the tb elbow so I can see the throttle plate completely closed so I know it's not stuck open.
When I cover the throttle body bypass hole part way with my thumb the idle comes down a lot. I did not cover it completely as I didn't want the car to die.

Well I believe you are right. I made an adapter plate to bolt the fd tb to the re manifold. There is a bypass hole that goes to the iac, I don't have an iac so the hole needs blocked. So I turned the spacer around and it's fine.
Now the car doesn't want to start due to flooding. Of course. Thanks Elliot.
