Adaptronic Dual Map Setup Adaptronic

Dual Map Setup Adaptronic
Here is a simple brief summary of how to use the dual map function on the Adaptronic units;
1) You have to use a tuning mode that supports it, ie, one that only uses one fuel / ignition map (ie, MAP or TPS)
2) Select the correct dual map option in tuning modes. Eg if you’re tuning on MAP, select 1=MAP, 2=MAP, digital input to select #2
3) Choose a digital input which will be your map selection. If you’re using a series 6 plug-in, the easiest way is to cut the wire for the Gear 1 detection and use that instead. Our FD ECU doesn’t use the gear switch inputs because we can work it out from RPM and speed.
4) Wire that digital input to your switch and the other side of the switch to ground (as shown in the 440 wiring diagram for the digital inputs)
5) In the software, select that digital input as “Alternate map select”
If you select it as active low (the default), then when the switch pulls to ground (when it’s closed), the ECU will switch over to map 2.
You can tell it has done this in the F11 window because Digital Inputs “AMAP” will go green.
Let me know if you guys have any other questions!

Tunning till I drop!

Hi Elliot,
I'm starting to pull everything together in order to wire my Aquamist's fail-safe output into my Select FD Series 6 ECU.
Switching maps for both fuel and timing seems like a great thing to trigger if the fail-safe indicates water injection failure.
Is it possible to lower peak boost as well?
thanks!
James
