Coolant Temp of by 16 degrees celcius

1988 Mazda rx7 Turbo. My air intake showed 0 degrees while my coolant showed 16. It appears as its off. Wondering if there is a difference between S4 and S5 coolant probes as I may have mixed them up. How would I verify the calibration curve? It appears that once warmed up it indicates correctly based on the coolant thermostat?

This was when it was parked in my garage so I believe the 0 Degress Celcius.

thanks

According to the manual, you set the ADC counts of the sensor at set temperatures. To do this, you set the coolant temp sensor in boiling water, with a thermometer, see the ADC counts on your laptop connected to the ECM, when the cooling water hits each temperature setting, you input the ADC counts. I think you do the same for the intake temp sensor, but with air instead of water somehow.

Thanks,
When I read the wari manual a long time ago I remember seeing this. But the base map for the rx7 should include the proper curve. I'm just wondering if I have a mixed up sensor installed or if someone else has the same issue.
