Boost Control

Running simplified sequential and for a long time could not control boost. I could never raise it from about 7 psi and it would fall off once the secondary came online. Replaced the stock valve with a MAC valve and all is good.

What is the preferred method for boost control? I am currently using Open Loop and curious if I should just have one setting all the way across. Right now I have been adjusting the entire duty cycle map to the same value trying to get the boost I am after.

Are one of the other modes better or quicker responding?

Firstly, i'm sure there are other ways to set it up, but i don't know how they work
Second, if you don't have the pills in the waste gate hoses, nothing will work. it has something to do with the size of the solenoid vs the size of the WG hose, if its the same the solenoid does nothing. the FD is .62" or something like that (it comes up if you search)

third, i think you are correct. set the whole map to some low value, and then bring it up. what you would expect to see, is that the part of the map where the turbo would spool anyways, will hit some value and then be happy, and then the next would be the top end, and then its common for the part before the turbo spools to be like 80%. so like you might do 10-20-30-40% before you hi target boost around 5k rpm, but then the 7k might need 60%, and the 3000rpm range might want 80%.

once you have that setup, turning on closed loop boost control might not be hard, but that is ECU specific, so IDK (the PFC and Haltech want a duty cycle that is close to start with, so you need to start open loop anyways)
