ZK Motoring '99 spec wing

I am looking to see if anyone has bought one of the '99 spec wings from ZK Motoring and if so are they a good quality wing and do they fit as advertised? I am considering buying one, but want to know if anyone here has any experience with them.

This is the one I have on my car:
On eBay

It is made and shipped from Canada and it arrived quickly. Fitment and finish quality was good, and it is adjustable like the factory one. Now could you put an ODULA carbon fiber blade in it? I don't know.

And as far as the way it looks compared to a legitimate OEM part, I really can't see any difference other than the end caps that cover the mounting for the blade are different. But you wouldn't know unless you really looked.

Hello,
ZK Motoring is owned by me and I'm happy to answer to this thread. Our parts are priced higher than other sellers because the raw material is imported to manufacture these. We make all our parts in Pakistan and ship from here too. Our parts are "body shop ready" and usually require light wet sanding and paint so you won't spend hundreds of dollars at the body shop in getting fiberglass parts finished. We can also provide paint service for a minimal cost. It will never be a 100% match but at least you can use them as soon as you receive them. We provide free replacements if item is damaged or any issues with the item.

As for the 99 spec wings there are tons of manufactures.
  1. VIS Racing was one of the first to manufacture them, not sure if anyone buys it from them anymore.
  2. RockectZ alot of people use, but the problem with that wing is that the base is closed so water will stay inside the spoiler sides and will never sit perfectly on the hatch because of the curves.
  3. eBay Malaysia Spoiler cheap but raw finish fiberglass expect to spend alot of money on finishing
  4. Group A Motoring Customer support isn't good and I have had customers switch from their spoiler sides to mine. End claps flying off single sheet of fiberglass that holds the wing blade.
  5. Concept7 in UK just started making 99 spec spoilers which are very nice
the 99 spec spoilers are our most sold product. We have 5-6 orders for them every month so never in stock, made to order. Every wing is test fitted prior to shipping out. If anyone wants the carbon blade we always recommend getting them from shine auto or group a. Their carbon work is better than mine.our carbon work is overlay only so it will never be as light or have as nice of a finish as theirs. Although our time to manufacture and ship is way way lesser than what they make customers wait.

Thanks,
Fahad

I guess i can weigh in as a customer. I bought the wing ends from ZK, and used a genuine mazda spoiler blade on my car. The ends were brought to the body shop, and I was told only needed a minor amount of tweaking to fit. Overall my body guy was pretty impressed for being aftermarket, as that usually means HUGE work to get fitting correctly. I can give them the thumbs up for anyone wondering.

Thank you for the response. I am doing my homework and definitely interested in your product. If you can have any of the other's that have installed the wings they've bought from you post here, I'd be very interested in their reviews as well. I'm considering the '99 ends with the Odula blade. What is the typical wait time on the made to order? What are shipping rates to the USA typically?

Thank you for posting and the pic! This is exactly what I am looking for. Did your body shop elaborate on what they have to tweak to get it to fit correctly? Outside of them being impressed with the fit, what did they think about the quality? Are they as well built as they look in the pictures?

Hope if pans out better for you all.
ZK Motoring's shipping protection wasn't near adequate and resulted in damages for a set of mirrors I had purchased: https://www.rx7club.com/bad-fugly-me...efund-1164962/

Waiting since 12/31 for the refund Fahad.

I ended up buying a wing from ZK Motoring. He always answered emails/messages while I waited for him to make it. Once it shipped it was at my door in 1 week, which absolutely shocked me how fast it got here. Overall the wing was in good shape and didn't get damaged in shipping. I did fit it and fitment was pretty darn good. I'll post some pics once it's painted and installed. So far, I'm happy with it tho.

Can you explain how the end caps are different from OEM? Thinking of getting the one you linked. How is it overall?

I got the one from Ebay. I have no experience with the OE wing so I can't say much there, but the Ebay one is nice. I have no problems with fit of finish (obviously you are going to have to paint it).

All that said I LOVE how interactive ZK motoring is on this forum. Price seems worth it for helping out a forum member. And its been stated that ZK wings will work with OEM parts.

OEM End Caps have a retainer at one corner and use a M6 Allen Nut.
