You CAN use apex intakes with SMICs *pics*

I finally got pictures of my set up being complete. Well almost. Few more things to go.

It started like this...All stock.

Got the rebuild all done...Put the apexi intakes on with the stock IC.

Ran her like this for a while...

Got hit by a cop, so I went 99spec in the front...Paint matching is a little bit of an issue right now...I just paid a friend to spary it and do the best he could on the match. Whole car to be black in the next few months.

Decided to go with a PFS SMIC. Realized that the apex intakes wouldnt work with it....Started lookin for some greddy intakes. Realized I liked the look of the apex ones much better, so I got retro fitting.

Thats how she is now, and shes workin great!

Looks like he removed the airpump and shortened the hose to the secondary turbo Then changed the top filter to the bottom and vise versa. Looks good.
Are you feeding any fresh air in from the bottom?

Looks good... what did you use to block off those holes on the Apexi Intakes? (for the BOV/CRV return lines) I ended up using 'walking cane rubber end caps' lol

w/ Greddy SMIC (would polish the rest of it but I think its getting an LS1 sooner or later)

Looks good! Nice work, but you def need to spend 125 bucks or so and get a new AST. Save your FD from death!
Nice job on the intake.

Walking cane nubs are the same as rubber chair leg protectors, I have often seen packs of four rubber chair leg protectors so that might be cheaper then walking cane nubs....

Or whatever any of the correct term is for that kind of stuff, anyways

I used freeze plugs for mine. I just went to a NAPA store and bought them. If I remember correctly they come in brass, aluminum, and steel. I went with brass . Cost was a couple of bucks for 4. Pressed them in myself (didn't trust anyone else to do it).
