I was driving down to Parsippany tonight for a little car meet and came across a mid 90's c4 vette on rt80. I got along side, and accelerated a bit and then backed off, to see if he wanted to go. He caught up to me and lined up with my car. I looked over at him and he hit the gas. I was in 4th doing about 70, so it took a little to spool my turbo. He got about 1/2 a car on me so I got pissed, slapped it into 3rd, and left him like he was standing still. I easily put a 1/4 mile on him, just to show him what an rx-7 could do. I slowed down to a cruise and let him catch up. Both the driver and passenger took off their hats and waved, as if to give me props. Cool vette owners. Anyway, i then proceeded to my destination. On the way home I just saw a late 80's 5.0, but he didn't want to play.

My dad owns a '95 pace car ( vette ) he has like 3,200 miles on it, loves it. When I bought my FD I let him take it for a ride. "Pretty fast" he says. Few days later we're next to each other on the turnpike, nice open stretch. We slow down to 50, I drop to 3rd, give each other the nod. He never had a chance . We do this like 3 times, he can't believe it. Best part, I pull in front of him, call him on the cell phone. "So..... like what happened you still got the sta-bil in your gas, running the air, where's all that power?" "Uhh...I guess I better get one of those chips, that things fast." Hehehe Tom
