I think that the haltech went bad and had to be sent back to Haltech.

Yeah guys, some of you haven't been paying attention.
I know I've posted it a few times..

In short:
1) the Haltech was bad from the factory, & it will take a while before I get it back

2) I really wasn't happy with the terminated harness, and I want a custom one, with less wires to show.

3) My friend had a Turbo prepped Holley that he wasn't using.

4) My (Haltech) Tuner is well over 6 months behind in work

5) I don't feel like waiting another 6 months, with my car being 99% complete, and sitting in my garage.

6) the car runs perfectly with the Holley. If I knew it'd run like this, I would've never even bothered with the Haltech.

The engine compartment looks like an N/A application. Open, quiet, and simple. I really like the setup as it appears right now.

And before you ask...

7) I'll probably put the Haltech on next year, after I get the rest of the car dialed in and fixed up to my specs. (widebody, paint, rims, interior, stereo, etc..)

Also, I am still learning to drive it all over again..It is too much to handle right now, so I am taking it slow, er kind of.

Maybe I should ride down to Miami to run you DirectFreak

I bought my car from down there, you probably know the car and the guy I bought it from. His name was Ralph, really nice guy, I forgot the name on the license plate frame, but I think it was Cartech or something.

Don't know the guy, but I will likely go to the next Sport Compact Race at Moroso. With some drag radials, I might get some decent times.

My exhaust is pretty damn loud, even with 2 glasspacks and a muffler.

The BOV I have is internally mounted in the intercooler, it doesn't sound like the normal ones. It sounds kind of like a dove if you ask me.

When is that event DirectFreak?

Wierd. The Dove sound is usually compressor surge.
Are you *sure* you have a BOV in the intercooler?

My exhaust is all 3" piple, including the Wastegate plumbed back in to the exhaust. 2 Magnaflow mufflers, and both are 3" through and through.

I am telling you, the only loud thing is the freaking fuel pump. But I have no carpeting in the hatch right now, and the bins are out.

According to the MorosoCalendar, it appears to be

Florida Tuner Challenge, February 21-22, Saturday and Sunday.

so with the two magnaflow mufflers its acutally pretty quiet? As in, not getting much attention?

Also, since your now running a carb, did you swap fuel pumps or regulate it down to what you needed?

Quiet as in stock at idle. Definately quieter than a 13B with headers, etc. It's really freaking quiet. Under boost, it's a beautiful surging sound of the Turbo. The exhaust is relatively quiet there too. The sound you [b]do[/i] hear is nice and deep. No "chainsaw on crack "sounds here.

Jimmy, with the exception of the "A" pillar gauges, you'd swear it was a stock SE with a little 3" fart can.

I kept the same fuel pump (Aeromotive 1000), I just got a new regulator (Mallory 4309). A stock SE pump would've worked fine for a blow-thru carb setup though.

I know they where Universal "aluminized" mufflers.

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/universal.htm

Here the one in the middle of the car is oval and kinda flat. The one in the back is round. They both have 3" in and 3" out.

Here's a few pics of when I was bulding it, if it helps.

That's a tip on the muffler, it's not normally like that.

What is the construction of the Maganaflow? Steel packed? How well do they hold up to the heat of the rotary?

thanks
