Unhappy Yet another boost problem question.PLEASE HELP!

Alright here goes nothing. I have a 93 touring pretty much stock with a downpipe and two k&n filters. I re did my vac lines not too long ago because my 2nd turbo wasnt boosting.This was right after i put my new motor.Same turbos from the old motor by the way. They boosted fine.Now that i did my vac lines, I got my 2nd turbo spooling again but now i only boost 7 or 8 pounds.Now i was thinking.Could the vac lines that this guy put in my car be cheap and collapse after certain boost? This guy has tried to rip me off so i dont doubt that he put cheap *** vac lines. You can squeeze them real easy and feel weak. I even put a midpipe thinking that it was clogged and boost still doesnt go up.Anyone would think that it would go up even a little bit. Dont know what to do. Could it be due to the cheap vac lines? what else could be holding me at 7 pounds?

I don't know about the vac lines, but if the two solenoids in front of the UIM are reversed secondary boost will be limited to 7psi. I've had mechanics that put these back on incorrectly (accidentally).

Did you make sure to put the restrictor pills in the new lines that go the wastegate and precontrol actuators? That will lower your boost. Also, make sure the hoses that go to your wastegate actuator are not kinked. That happened to me and I couldn't get over 7 pounds.

thanks for the replies. I found out what it was. The vaccum lines kink disgustingly.Theyre the biggest pieces of **** ive ever seen. The guy that did them ripped me off by using cheap ****. My restrictor pills are there. But my lines MUST be kinking somewhere.You should see how easy they can be squezed.
