Question Yellow or White color?

I will take my FD to repaint few days later, but I still struggle to choose yellow color or white color. I perfer yellow, but I sometime think white is beautiful. Please give me some suggestion or picture.

Thanks!!

Yellow not only because white is hard to keep nice looking but also because yellow rocks!

I have a 94 white and will eventually paint it. Go with the yellow or something with some personality - white is just boring.

even though i think white is not a color for sports cars, it looks amazing on some cars, and the FD is one of them. white FDs are really nice, IMO, but after a while it can get a little too boring. yellow has more personality and flash, when white has more class and elegance. but who needs class when you are driving a sports car?! :p

get a nice yellow. for some reason, the CYM seems kinda dull. paint the car a rich Ferrari Yellow. that would be pimp-a-licous.

I have a white FD. If I had to choose, I would paint it yellow. However, I would get a metallic yellow with a pearl tint and lots of clear coat. I like metallic paint.

White is a very easy to maintain color. It hides imperfection and dirty very well.

Personally, I would get a metallic blue like the Protege MP3. If you are going to paint it over, might as well get a custom paint job to set your car apart!

- Ferrari yellow
- IS300 solar yellow
- Protege 5 sunburst yellow
- Porsche speed yellow
- M3 phoenix yellow metallic

Please give me some ideas

I have a 93 R1 CYM, and I think it is the sweetest color ever. It will cost you though. It is a three stage paint, it had cost me $200 just for materials to paint my Knight Sport bumper. It is also hard to match once you have painted your car. So if you use CYM, make sure you have all the body add on's that you want if you go that route. It really is a sweet color though. Wait untill you see it in the sun.

If those are your only two choses go with yellow, but be prepare to get tickets. Cops can spot a yellow car from miles away.

I like white FDs. With the black chinspoiler, I think they look VERY good. White sports cars DO look good. One of the cara I am planning to get is a white 930.

I'd go with a nice bright white. IF not, then go with a REALLY bright yellow. Yes, yellow DOES have a few different shades to it, and I think Ferrari Yellow would be the ticket.

CYM is kinda dull compared to other yellows because of mica. It's a type of stone or soemthing like that. So there is a little bit of texture, which probably takes away from the luster you would expect from yellow. If you are going to go with yellow go with the sunburst yellow, kinda like a Bathurst TYPE R

I dont have enough money for my paint job, but if I were to do it now it'd either be sunburst yellow or snow white pearl mica.

go with Ferrari Yellow. CYM is a little on the dull side.

That car was one of my favorites it was originally red with tan and black but once it went to yellow with tan and black it looked awsome, However I don't think you guys realize that the ferrari yellow is creamy in color not like the millinium yellow on the C5 which is just screaming. The right yellow is important to me just because you don't want that ugly cab yellow that came on the old 5.0's.I don't think ferrari yellow would look right on the 7 it's just to creamy. The one thing I did notice though is once it was yellow I couldn't keep the bugs off it.

white not for race cars??? most proper racing Porsche's are white is usually the rule. white paint is a hell of alot easier to care for than darker colors esp when it comes to repair. if you have to go back and repair a yellow panel later - good luck matching the car.

so not too much a fan of yellow cars here (except original Lotus Esprit from the 70's). if you gonna make a yellow car then make it a stand out neon yellow or something chroma IMO. Otherwise you may tire of "just another yellow car".

I like my cars yellow w/ white pearl... Looks bright yellow during the day, and you can really see the pearl at night when the street lights hit it.. just make sure they put a white base down before painting the yellow, or it will look dull and dark... and yes bugs will flock to your car like WWII komakazi's, especially when your painting it, so make sure you do it in a bug free environment... Also the cops in Japan never **** with me... I think it's because my car looks good and not rigged like most people who race around on the street....

At the time I know it was one of the nicest in the states, that paintjob wasn't cheap though I had the whole car dissassembled and painted it looked better than the factory paint, and had everything you could think of done to it. Thank you for noticing though.

As far as the pearl I agree it adds some real depth when done right.I had a M3 that lived one block over from me and every morning on the way to work the sun would come up across his lawn and the whole car looked white and shimmery until you hit certian angles and then pinks of all different vibrancy would shoot down all the body lines as you drove by, true pearl paint jobs are so much better than the crap the factories like to call pearl.

I say paint the car a metallic white with a blue pearl over it. It will look like a shimmery white like on the 3000gt but every highlight will have blue tint shoot through it as you drive by.

well are you planning to pull the engine to get the bay and also to get the door sills etc. redone? if not then I would stay with the original color. I like white. Yellow is cool for a while, but not all the time. If you want to add some style go with a nice wheel, maybe a dark spoke wheel like gunmetal or black.

I say hit it with gunmetal gray. Now that's a kick-*** color.

I can spot yellow cars out of the corner of my eye traveling down the opposite side of I-270 (A 10 or 12 lane divided highway). On the way to work 2 summers ago I remember every day seeing a a yellow 3000Gt, a yellow Beetle, and a CYM 93 go down the opposite side. It looks like you're speeding even when you're 20mph below the limit.
