yea...another exhaust question

Well.....ive searched and searched.....what i want to know is this. What exhaust(s) gives the most power?......id rather have top end than anything. I dont care about looks or sound(that much). I just want something that will perform really good. I want to know what's been proven on the dyno or any other way for that matter...i see all these posts on sound and looks and stuff...but none really on performance...and if so then it's about highest flow...but does the highest flow really mean most power? I just want to know which one will give me high hp ratings. Sorry if these types of posts are pissin people off...but ive searched and cant find anything.

The reason you mostly see comments about looks and sound are because there is very little power differences between the different exhausts. Yes, I'm sure an exhaust like the Apexi GT makes more horsepower on the dyno but I'll also bet that my Racing Beat dual-tip makes more torque in the low and mid-range. But in either case, we're talking minimal differences -- less than 10 hp between exhausts. For that little of a difference, sound and looks become a lot more important.

Bigger piping produces more high end but don't expect more hp from 4" exhaust as it only fixes the restriction needed for high HP cars.

Sound and looks are a personal taste. Power will be relatively close. Don't expect there to be an extreme difference.

For flow rate or dyno numbers you'll have to buy RX7 magazine or one of the Japanese tuner mags that have rated aftermarket parts.

yea well i guess if there's not much difference.....looks and sounds do become a factor. I mean dont get me wrong i want a nice deep exhaust and an evil sound at WOT....and i also want it to look good.....but my main convern was the power u get. But thanks for all comments....all info is useful.
