Y-Pipe Installed today!
Y-Pipe Installed today!
Had a Enfi Y-Pipe installed today very nice touch to the car and more reliable -=), went down to Tri-Point to have it installed. Get this I had 200 miles at half a tank! I filled up before I left then went down there and came home 200 miles still have half a tank left, isn't this pretty good for a FD?
Are you saying that you drove 400 miles on 1/2 a tank? I don't think so.
Good choice onthe Y-pipe addition. Did you notice a difference in performance. Is your boost pattern different?

No I drove 200 miles all together and still have half a tank left over. Feeling is that the turbo's spool up faster due to more air flow, boost pattern stayed the same and personally to me car feels quicker.
The FD gas tank is just over 20 gallons. If he is driving on the freeway, taking it easy, he could get more than 20 MPG. So, it is possible to go 200 miles on 1/2 a tank.

I used to get 400 miles per tank highway on my old motor with the stock fuel system and all the bolt ons.
I haven't logged any highway miles with the ported motor and new fuel system yet. I'm curious to see if there is any change in the mileage.
The Efini y-pipe is different from the stock pipe in the following ways:
-the crossover section is metal instead of plastic
-the crossover section is connected to the Y section with a metal to metal connection rather than a rubber coupler.
-the inner "y" portion of the pipe is supposed to have a less restrictive shape.
