Wut should I keep befor sending it to junkyard

My FD is total lost after my girlfriend took a "spin class " on the highway. Insurance pay me $ 14K for it but then they agreed to pay me 12K and let me keep the car. My question is what should I take out (beside engine, turbo , ) before I send it to a junkyard.

I would try remove as much as possible. Alot of us here need stock parts, and I'll bet you can make quite a bit off us. I mean, you should probably just keep the car and slowly remove things when people ask for those specific parts. For example: I need an ABS Unit. Will you sell that part to me? (no, really...I do need an ABS Unit.)

Buy it for 12 and part it out...if it's a black interior you may make half back on that alone....

Personally I need a throttle body...keep me in mind...

First thing you should do is cash the entire 12k in 100 dollar bills, waive it in front of your GFs face and tell her "Go screw yourself"

Go out and buy yourself something good

Sorry. It's just that something like this would REALLY **** me off

I agree with all of the above, remove everything that you can, everyone needs something on here. I need one of the harnesses that plug into the back of the gauge cluster, so let me know if you would be willing to cut it about 6 inches back so I have some wire and Id be happy, I can send you a color code on the wire to make sure it is the right one. THanks, PM me if you get it or write back here

Yeah I need a little black plastic screw cover that is on the passenger side cowl area near the wipers. It's just below the windshield and it covers a screw... It's small enough to just drop in an envelope and mail it. I'd give ya 5 bucks for it!

I need something small too. One of those little clips on the passenger side that holds the cover over the ECU on. There's 2 of them. The middle pops out, and then the whole thing comes out. One of those vanished on me somehow and I dont like not having one. It's another of those "drop in an envelope" things. $5 for that too?

Oh, and how do the taillights look? Did they get damaged too?

Where are you?

Your profile list you in Texas. What city or area? Was your car a manual or automatic?

Keep the car a while and take the pieces off when someone wants it. Many people need things you would never think about, little screws, brackets, hoses, sunroof, etc etc etc. You will defiantly make that 2k back.

Sorry about the car man.

I could use some stuff.

I'll take the front wheel well liners (fasteners too) , and the little black plastic rectangle that sits between the front windshield defrost vents. Also could use like 5 of the little metal plastic clips that hold all the interior together. If you got any/ all this stuff shoot me an e-mail with price to:
mike@ucsbalum.com
P.S. I think you should keep the car and part it out

Talk to merciless

He parted-out last year and seemed to do a good job of it.

Lots of people will want to see pictures, so get a digital camera and some WEB space and a Paypal account.

Then get them to send you back pix of your parts in their cars, so you can have a wierd sorta keepsake.

there are a couple small things that I could use, too..

I could really use the taillight covers (or the whole assembly). Also, the plastic covers for the pivot bolts for the front windshield wipers. And the "covers" for the seat rail bolts. And if you have the stock stereo system, I could use the little **** for tuning bass and treble.

depending on how bad it is wrecked, just sell the whole thing.

There is a big markes on repairable vehicles. I just bought one hit in the front from a JY. I got in contact with teh last owner. I payed 2X what he could have bought it from ins for. and I got it 3 days after the JY got it.
what I saying is turn key on a car like this you can double your proffit and never have to touch a wrench or take a trip to UPS and find boxes.
If the frame is bent don't let that scare you. It will sell. If your interested ill tell you what I payed for mine and the condition I bought it in... tha tday I got it delivered a guy offered to buy it for 3K more then I payed.
Hell a guy I know here at work may buy it from you. we rebuild cars for fun.

PM me for more info if you like.
